not at my pc currently but i wonder if ball can retract to the top of the skybox, transform and shoot and after 1 second grapple back to the skybox and retract again
looking for pharah counters

It takes a while to transform, but if you swing and get extra height, you are capable of that.
Be mindful of your available grappling time though, it makes this harder to pull off and cuts your sky time rather short.
I checked on the practice range.
hmm never thought of that
hard to imagine but i think a ball tickling pharah would be a waste of time, maybe just fireballing into her and throwing in a few shots would suffice for a distraction
thanks bud
You can ambush her from a grappled high ground spot but retracting back in the air takes to long. Maybe shoot a bit while your falling and then grapple fireball at her to hit her. Then shoot the rest of your clip in the air
Shooting pharah as ball tends to make her retreat anyway. Especially now that she cannot forever fly. Cannonballing into her then ground pounding where you smack her to followed up with a peppering of cannon fire will usually finish her off.
With his new techs there is next to nowhere that is “too high” for him.
Midair transforming-shooting-reball generally loses you too much maneuverability to make it worth it. Better to smack people around, land, and then finish.
Balls hitscan presence is generally enough to make skybound enemies at least pay attention to him, which is his entire point.
thanks for doing the work, that sounds more than enough to gain her respect
yeah i’m quite surprised how much new life has been breathed back into ball, seems the sky is the limit with what he can do
You wouldn’t have to, if WBs guns didn’t have such incredibly low falloff.
You can, but it’s better to fireball your way to the skybox and just gun her down. It applies good pressure and forced her to play carefully. If you spiderham, however, you’re sitting still enough that Pharah can hit you consistently.
Wrecking Ball is a criminally underrated Pharah counter. His falloff range is actually quite good for a tank, particularly because it’s hitscan with a tight spread. My advice is to try to situate yourself on nearby high ground or swing up and transform while you have upward momentum.
