I was in this thread. This guy isn’t a dev… this is a theory based off is the couple of accounts he gathered data off of. I have far more experience, in far more accounts than he had, and his data was incomplete and the scope was limited to confirm his theory, which isn’t how you gather data.
But as I said in that thread, without knowing the exact metrics of what the MMR and SR values and prioritizes, it’s just a theory… And it’s wrong.
As I said in that thread, I started a new account, and lost 7 out of my 10 placements, and still placed in mid-gold. If his theory was accurate that wouldn’t be possible.
Don’t adopt someone else’s theory because you like how it sounds. Until the DEVS explain it in detail, we don’t know how it works.
But beyond that, you’re trying to prove a point that doesn’t relate to the topic. The topic isn’t how placements work. Someone attempted to use video of a Top 500/ Pro-level player playing with unranked bronze, silvers, and golds, and attempted to use it to refute my position that no one can win an entire 1v6 match… which the video doesn’t display. It shows an exceptional player struggling to barely eek out a win in low-Elo… which if you read my posts, you would see that I specifically stated a GM/Top 500/pro-level players could carry people at extremely low elos.
So I don’t get what your issue is. But please, stay on topic, and stop being combative for the sake of adversity… because whatever you’re attempting to argue isn’t my point, and doesn’t negate my original statements.
