[Bug] Rebinding communications does not apply to all heroes

Hi Overwatch Team,

I have a bug on the PS4 version of Overwatch 2, where rebinding the communication keys does not apply to all characters, even when done via the “All heroes” menu.
Currently my coms are bound als follows:
D-pad Up: Spray Menu
D-pad Right: Use
D-pad Down: Comms wheel
D-pad Left: Emote Menu

I want to have it like this:
D-pad Up: Ping Menu
D-pad Right: Use
D-pad Down: Comms wheel
D-pad Left: Spray Menu

When I try to rebind “Spray Menu” to D-pad Left via the “All heroes” Menu, it does not apply to all heroes. I would have to manually go through each hero to change it. Furthermore, when I try to change it back to what it was, now suddenly the “Spray menu” is marked with a star for every hero (as if overridden), even though both “All Heroes” and the specific hero (for example Doomfist) have the same button mapping for “Spray menu”.

I find this really annoying as I desperately want to map the ping button but there is no button I can map it to, other than the D-pad. And I don’t want to go through each hero to change it.

Other settings work just fine when changed through the “All heroes” menu (like Sensitivity settings or Crouch / Crouch toggle).

I would appreciate if you could take a look at it.

Hello, this issue is still unresolved and extremely frustrating as I feel having jump bound to A is frustrating because I cant bhop without losing aim, I bound jump to LT and rebound every hero around that change and when I tried changing my communication menu settings afterwards (I was starting over from stock settings when I did this) and none of my heroes received any changes from the “all heroes” changes I made to comms menu, everyone just got asterisks applied to their still-default settings. Very very very frustrating as I now have to bind every hero separately, currently finishing up the tanks and moving on to dps and im >:/

Do you have custom setting for those heroes?

You can’t overwrite your custom hero settings with general settings.
