Bug - Loss of window focus during gameplay

EDIT: It’s been 3 days. So there’s no official support from Blizz anymore?

Hey everyone,

Anyone else having this issue?

I’m losing control of my hero during gameplay, as if OW2 lost window focus and regained it shortly after. Please note—via the input overlay—that I continue pressing buttons normally, but the hero does not respond.

I was streaming on OBS during this video, but it happens when I’m not streaming as well. I can provide multiple examples of this bug, as it happened about 3–4 times just last night. The heroes I was playing were D.Va and Sigma, but I can’t say for sure the issue wouldn’t happen with other heroes too.

It only happens with Overwatch 2. I played other games last night, like Smite 2, and it didn’t happen at all.

Trust me when I say, this is beyond frustrating—it’s at the “I’m playing something else” level.

Any help would be appreciated, but please don’t tell me to update my video drivers unless you’re certain it would help.

Hey, same thing happens with me, I hear windows sound and then ow window focus is lost.

It’s a shame that this bug been happening for at least 1.5 months and there is still no response from blizz :clown_face:

This sounds more like an issue with another application wanting to take priority over Overwatch. This isn’t a fault with the game itself and more of an error with your system.

Check what background apps are running at the time of when this happens, event viewer usually has some good info on this. Unfortunately, it’s a process of trial and error on your end to figure out the root cause.
