“He’s OP at higher ranks” He’s not OP at all. This is a misconception. no one even 1 tricks him and he’s the most well known character in the franchise.
We’re not recognizing how SUPER reliable all his counters are and how instantaneously people will swap to heroes like reaper, cree, dva, hog because it’s the easiest win condition in overwatch aside from anti the hog. Everyone plays these characters. Those 4 heroes are GOOD popular heroes. Factor in his MASSIVE hit/critbox, eggshell of a bubble, and the fact he can’t fight back with only weak guns. This is the opposite of Dva being countered by niche symm/mei her being able to fly away and the symm has to stand on her head to get value where dva can burst dmg back. Winston counters get highest in class value guaranteed instantly at 0 risk. it’s like a life insurance commercial.
“he was already buffed with rclick”
rclick doesn’t do enough damage it negatively added a big delay in his animation canceling so its basically 0 gain to dmg when jumping on people as using the regular left click on the way down before melee cancel.
FIX–Buff rclick 30% to help him burst squishies, increase ammo 20% so he doesnt have to pathetically melee to conserve ammo. or reload constantly after every rclick. This OLD ow1 design philosophy hindered him purposely to keep his ceiling high but it doesn’t make sense anymore since other tanks have easy to use high value low ceiling kits, he’s also getting less value from cleaving 5v5 vs 6v6. teams used to group behind shields more which also made it better 6v6.
-Primal is a catastrophe… needs a complete rework, its too bad at clearing cart yet boops people too far to consistently juggle, the jump feels to infrequent but you know if they buffed it winston would just be literally flying in the sky during primal. I’d honestly rather the flying.

Buff Bubble Health - Team needs bubble to exist in chokes more than 1ms and to feel like if they dive its not deleted before they get to it.

None of this happens. Here’s what happens…You either get 0 value waiting for the perfect moment and lose because of time lost. You walk in with bubble trying to save your jump bubble gets deleted your team behind you gets deleted, you jump back to spawn and get picked out of the air. Or thirdly you say eff it jump on their healers with bubble you kill 1 but have no bubble or health to do any more damage for 6 more seconds. while the enemy tank just pops off.
If you still don’t agree remember healers ARE bad at healing dive tanks, DPS Players ARE bad at diving with the dive tank. Why would he be weak and the bubble be weak to magnify this?
