Buff Mcree Please

His Ult is suicide, pretty much used as a reload. He gets out ranged by all the other hitscan because his drop off damage is absurd and to top it all he’s incredibly slow, with one super weak movement ability on a low cool down.

McCree out ranges and outplays every other hitscan, with the exception of a Widow well tucked in the backline, but even then, firing at her head isn’t a hard thing to do.

He has the same base speed as everyone else, doesn’t he?

And Roll goes REALLY damn far.

I do agree though, Deadeye is pretty much only used to reload, but that’s a really damn good utility. Do you know how many characters reload all of their ammo upon a use of their Ultimate? Not that many.

No this is false, every single hitscan outranged McCree that is a fact. Not saying McCree is weaker, but in terms of RANGE, he IS outranged.

He is talking about his lack of mobility, almost every other DPS has better mobility options.

Maybe but it’s still one of the best respawn buttons in the game.

McCree out ranges Reaper, Tracer, so no, he isn’t outranged by every single hitscan. Even if he is outranged, he gets much more value because Flash to Fan is a reliable near instant kill.

Again, Roll… It’s on a fairly short cooldown, so I don’t think it’s completely useless.

These dont’ really count when talking about hitscan. If you wanna get technical then yes you are right however, since those heroes play a different role than McCree then they are not comparable at all.

Nah, his combo is for close range only.

Useless? No, bad? Yes. Every single RANGED hitscan has something better.

And… Yeah?? The thing is he can get in close range very easily, and get out very easily. He’s good at close and medium range, and just okay at long range.

I mean… Any mobility is good mobility, right?

Look at Bastion. He’s a ranged hitscan. No mobility.

Remove his 2 shot kill potential, and then maybe buff something.

There is a reason, i see him in like 80% of my games, because he is good shutting down flankers and also can 2 shot most heroes…

Like I said, those heroes are not ranged hitscans and are not comparable with McCree since they perform different roles.

No, you get one or the other only. If you get in with combat roll you are vulnerable.

Not necessarily. I’m just comparing it with others and as a mobility skill specifically it’s bad, the skill itself is decent due to the reload, but the mobility itself is mediocre.

Funny , cause i feel this is a not fair meta. I didnt mind 3.3 meta or double shield meta. It didnt feel unfair . I didnt like double sniper either.

I have learned by watching other Mcree players.

His ult is a zone control tool. Simply saving his ult for certain situations when the enemy must rush the point.

Most Mcree I’ve seen try to flank with ult, but the enemy has time to hide or shoot Mcree.

The more effective Mcree ults I’ve seen have been on defense.

He has used his ult during overtime when the team has total control of the defense point…

His ult is fine. As a masters hitscan player to be honest every hitscan but widow is viable and balanced at the moment. Widow right now sucks because brawl dva exists and the comp moves to fast for her to get any meaningful value. High noon isnt used to get kills most of the time, its used to create instant space on an angle. For example, second point blizzard world your team wants to take the high ground, you pop high noon then the entire enemy team is either forced to use resources to stop it or give up the position, and if they use resources to stop the high noon they wont have resources to hold their position from us after the high noon ends. Its quite rare even in gm games to see mcree use high noon as a reload, high noon is too good of an ultimate to do that with now.

HUH, that’s funny. I though McCree was “OP”.

The people on the forums basically spam this, and brainwash you into believing its true.

And whenever this happens, Blizzard eventually sledgehammer nerfs the hero, and said hero is never to be played ever again.

I am only in favour of a VERY slight nerf to McCree, like upping his reload time or nerfing his flash duration by .05 seconds. That’s it.

Some people advocate for massive sledgehammer nerfs to McCree which make no sense.
