Genji is currently overall 2nd most picked DPS hero (after Hanzo) and in GM 3rd most picked DPS hero (after Hanzo and Widow)
You have to have very little knowledge of this game if you’re asking for buffs to him. He’s really strong right now

Way more counters? doomfist has mcree as a counter if he doesn’t 1 shot him before he can use his stun
Just play tracer. When I die as tracer I feel like I deserved it because I got outplayed, when I die as genji I feel like I was cheated. There is something bad about the hitbox during dash and deflect that makes it feel really unfair. Tracer is the true samurai fantasy anyway, when you one clip someone it feels like you are slashing them in half. Just pretend your bullets are a katana.

Only if she catches him with his dash cooldown used already and no one he damaged gets picked off.
Not even kinda. The only part of her kit that truly counters him is if she wastes her much longer to charge ult to trap his much faster to charge blade.
If her turrets are well placed, yeah. But outside of that? naw.

Seriously though I’m not kidding, every genji main should also be playing tracer. Genji is like a super bipolar experience, the highs are extremely high, the lows are extremely low. Tracer is like consistently insanely intense. It’s important to have that balance. You can pretty much always play one or the other. Sometimes adding soldier into the mix. I have a far better experience on genji now that I play tracer. It’s crazy. I’m not against one tricking genji, but it made a world of difference for me to start playing tracer.
And his winrate is still 50%, and climbing higher from Diamond and above. He’s fine.
