What’s the point of playing Cass now? He’s the weakest hitscan.
76 has good damage and faster than Cass. Ash has insane damage and can dodge divers better. Hanzo? I don’t need to say why he’s the best hitscan.

Anyways, Cass was 240hp. He felt that he was better for those wanting a tanky dps. He was unique at that point being a tanky dps with higher damage than mei. I’d say giving him 9 bullets is the best buff he can get. Making him faster is a meh buff. Giving him a faster reload speed is an ok buff.

He is still in literally every game lol?

Until his nade actually requires skill to hit he will continue to be picked in most scenarios because he is just good at everything

Even if we say Cass would be the weakest hitscane (which he’s not), just hypothetically, so what? He was Meta the last three seasons; it’s ok that a hero is not Meta all the time. But nevertheless, Cass is still very strong, he still has high burst DPS and CC, which makes him the second-best anti-dive DPS in the game.

he’s better against flankers than soldier76. Despite the recent Soldier’s buff, cass still has better burst damage to finish off the kill quicker.

imo, soldier76 doesn’t feel like he’s a big problem against shield tank, dva, dive comp. He just easy to play, high self-sustain, and a general safe pick, hence he’s everywhere now, but so is cassidy.

At this point, I feel like heroes that have it the best are non-oneshot long range hitscan like ashe, cassidy, and soldier. They are generally safe picks and viable in both high and low rank, and most people can play them.

What a joke, as 4.3k peak hitscan, playing 76 I struggle the most against cree, he can delete you with 2-3 taps basically. He is fine rn, I also play him equally with s76 and Ashe alltogether.

Fun fact: Bastion, one of the worst DPS in the game IS ALSO HITSCAN!

Genji has been meta during og dive (not even until the end because widow replaced him), a month in July 2020, and half of season 1 untill he was nuked out of orbit.

Cree was meta from the 225 buff in october 2020 to the end of OW1 and the entirety of season 3.

all of you saying Cass can 3 shots kill Genji etc etc, yeah but when Ash or 76 are better, you’d be better off without Cass. At least he was better before than now.

You always choose the best in any meta. So if Cass is currently weaker than others, I don’t need to pick him up anymore. A useless dps slot.
