Buff Anti or Nerf Tanks

Let me get something out of the way:

Skill issue, you’re playing wrong, you’re the problem, and anything else you can think of that dismisses this post.

Since I got that out of the way, let me get into my post. My idea is simple. I’ve accepted 5v5 because I don’t think it’s ever going to change. I’m not concerned with that at this point, but something has to happen.

Every support should have an anti heals of some kind or tanks need to be nerfed.

I am so tired of these immortal tanks walking through the front line, getting low, and hitting an 80% damage reduction to get healed completely. Doom and Ball aren’t off the hook. They can jump the backline and hit a ridiculous over shield or block 80% of incoming damage.

If you’re not going to change that, and you won’t, then provide every support with an anti or damage buff ability. Tanks are too over tuned. Double shield was more fun than these immortal tanks.

Ana, Zen, and Mercy are good. Don’t worry about them.

Bap- Anyone who is inside his lamp should get an automatic boost to damage or their landed shots should create an anti on the enemy hit.

Brig - landed whil shot should give a short duration of an anti

Illari - pylon should anti enemy team if they are in the radius for the burst.

Juno - Ult should anti as well as damage

Kiriko - Suzu radius should anti

Weaver - change his extra damage to enough landed petals to an anti

Lucio - boop provides small anti

Moria - discord orb antis while attached

Just nerf these immortal tanks. 80% damage reduction and over shields are just plain dumb. I have no idea why it’s lasted this long.

If neither of these happen, I should just accept that the game is terrible.

Nerf anti and nerf tanks.

Nerf all tank hp. All of them. Yes, I’m serious, every single one.

Revert season 9 hitbox changes OR delete the dps passive.

It’s not just hp, their mitigation abilities and dmg also need the nerf hammer

You must be a tank main. Absolutely no other role can possibly enjoy the current state of tanks.

And they cry all the time when Ana sleeps or nade’s them or the other tank counter swaps. Literally the only 2 things that stop them from running free on the map

I’m a support main, and I find it ridiculous what I can save my tank from sometimes.

You mean kill it right?

I’d just rather stay the way OW does it than go the MR route.

Tanks have absolutely no mitigation. They can’t kill anything. They can’t headshot anything. They hit like pillows. Supports have 150+ HPS on single or multitarget.

Then why not nerf supports instead which is the best role in the game by far currently

Buffing/increasing anti means you have to buff tanks

Nerfing tanks means you kill queue times

Pick your poison, or like the rest of us, suck it up. 5v5 is a cancer and this is how it’s gotta be.

ANTINADE!? Bro, anti nade is such a plague on the game they HAD TO make Kiriko just to play against it and she instantly became a must pick if your tank doesn’t have shields.

This game needs less anti nade, not more.

I can understand your frustration agaibst ball and doom if you don’t constantly want to choose Ana, but she is such a heavy handed counter to both, you can’t nerf Doom or Ball without massively gutting both Sleep and anti nade

I’m not overly opposed to this, but something needs to hinder the survivability of tanks.

Tanks have free rein on the map right now so much so that shooting them is near useless. I have no idea who thought this was a good idea.

I don’t like anti nade, but I hate it less than immortal tanks. I probably hate suzu more than both, though.

I provided an alternate solution. Make tanks somewhat vulnerable because right now they are overtuned.

An 80% damage reduction takes down a Cassidy headshot at its most effective range from 140 to 28. A regular shot at the most effective range goes from 70 to 14.

Hazard 65% takes the shot from 140 to 49 and 70-24.5.

How is this not the dumbest idea imaginable?
