it’s quite clear that Blizzard has a report quota ban system, they refuse to share detail on why you got banned or warned. it’s horrible, if you file a ticket asking to see why you got banned, as in the details. they will not share them, because they do not care, if you get reported a certain amount of times, you will get banned and/or warned. its ridiculous.

They dont always give a reason which tbh its stupid and add distrust in the system

Yeah someitmes they really like to drag on the question or simply wont answer and CS at times will actually threaten you to stop opening tickets or they will perma ban you
For starters define specifically what is “toxic” behaviour, some random banter shouldnt lead to punishment just cause someone had their ego hurt
Second, unless someone is actively and downright disgusting , using slurs and what not, the occasional swear word (note: sometimes the swear word is not even directed at any player, it could be an expression to something that happened) shouldnt lead to a punishment, again there is a reason filter in chat exist and why its a Teen rated game
Third, banning someone for 2 weeks , month or whaterver over “toxicity” is waaay too harsh, at most it should lead to a silence and restriction of chat, that way you let them still play but muted otherwise people can just make an alt account and continue to be toxic
Permabans should be only for cheating/exploiting the game, that behaviour has no place in online gaming
Don’t bother explaining bans in forums. Once you state the alleged reason, they will just say “you were toxic, deserved”
People here believe saying “gg” is worth reporting. It’s annoying when you lose, but do you need to get someone’s account reported over your fragile ego?
The appeal system is not transparent and vague, it’s done on purpose. They don’t want to deal with your false bans, they’d rather you make a new account. If you do, don’t spend a single cent on this game. That’s what they should get for dropping the ball so low.

Is it AI?
For all the improvement that AI has had, it seems they’ve gone backwards with customer support.
Then it would have to be an incredibly long definition that includes definitions, regional/cultural differences, tone indication, joking, sarcasm…
Swearing at the game? Okay.
Swearing at the players? Not okay.
It should be something that builds up. It wouldn’t start at 2 weeks, but it would eventually get there if people continue.
Neither does toxicity.
They will, you just have to do a silly little dance with their AI, first. If you do the right steps, a person will be further useless to you, instead of an AI (but they eventually will quote what you said/did).
