Blizzard, you are doing absolutely nothing to combat Cheaters, Griefers, I played with a 0 dps, 0 heal sombra that hacked health packs the whole game, I had a guy aimbot the whole game and then just emote for 10 minutes straight, bronze 5 is a joke, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get out, I played for a whole week, 5 wins 4 losses ranked higher than 91% of players in division and re-ranked bronze 5, something is broken and Blizzard is incompetent, senile, and just plain abusive to ignore the issues

there is nothing that blizzard can do to “balance” bronze, never mind bronze 5. i dont mean to be harsh, but bronze players are usually very very incompetent and buffing/nerfing heros in that rank wont change a thing.
my advice is make a new account. if you truly feel you dont deserve to be in that rank, make a new account and im sure you will place way above bronze. if you do end up in bronze, its probably because thats the rank you should be in

This game is full of cheaters, griefers, smurfs, and aimbots, full of them
This is also very much a thing in low ranks. Loooots of deranked Diamond players show up in Bronze lobbies. Better to not fight it and just enjoy the weirdness that is low Bronze Elo. Not like the ranks above are really that much more fun anyways.

There is one thing they could do: Make it a 2vs2 and fill the rest with bots. It would remove a lot of variables.
Yep, that’s bronze 5 alright, lol. Look, in that rank you’re only going to find derankers, or people who don’t know how to play the game. If you want to get out, you’re gonna have to get creative. Let’s say you’re better than bronze 5, maybe you’re as good as the average silver 3, that’s still not going to be enough to get out of that place, savvy? Now and again, you’ll find someone who can actually make it out of there and plans to make it out of there on your team, but for the most part, you’re on your own. That place is a hellhole and you’re going to have to square with that. You’re going to have to learn to carry every game you play in that rank on your own if you want out. When you can do that, you’ll be a battle hardened metal rank player who made it through bronze, is already able to blaze through silver given it’s probably easier to climb through there as you have half the team on your back, and you’ll be plat by no time at all.

A week isn’t that long if you’re at your actual rank and trying to climb, but you can climb a bit if you are below your actual rank or improve a little during the week, if you are actually actively playing.
9 games when you’re trying to climb though? That’s almost nothing. Literally, that’s playing 1 game most days, occasionally 2 games in a day, and expecting to climb. That’s borderline insane to me.

one thing i would suggest is to stop playing in bronze 5.
Play qp instead preferably on a new account, if you master the mechanics or game sense on one or two hero of your choice and manage 55-60 wr with them in qp, then go back to playing comp you will get to atleast low gold in no time.
while people say qp isnt comp, it definitely is enough to get you atleast to gold.
Im someone who started at silver and struggled for a year doing all the bad habbits.
Then once i put focus on mechanics and positioning easily climbed to gold and now im stagnated in diamond as a washed out player, i know the pain of low elos but the solution is definitely you improving.
The way you get out of low elos isnt by 5-4 and stuff like that, you need to improve aspects of your play, preferably mechanics and positioning as they apply to a wide variety of heroes.
Then you blast through it, when i climbed from silver to gold after training for a couple months, it wasnt 50-55 wr like these youtube coaches tell, keep the grind etc…
NO you blast through that elo hell like fire, i was at 76 wr practically like a smurf and i didnt just get out of silver i blasted into 2475 sr its funny cause i kinda lost a bit from there to 2300 and it took a while before i blasted past plat into diamond.
Anyone else telling you otherwise oh keep playing those bad bronze 5 games with a guy playing lucio on 24 fps on a laptop, is lying and trying to sell you stuff.
Keep the grind etc you didnt throw a moira heal orb to that feeding genji , oh you didnt do a one legged hop dance etc.
Most of these coaches dont even play the game regularly and are just using duoed accounts.
What they say is certainly educational but at the elos you are in, it doesnt matter.
You need to get better to kill everything there to get out.
Dont put yourself through that.
Improve yourself and blast out.
Oh and also definitely what mercy1trick said above, even if its qp you need atleast a hour of gaming 4days or something to see improvemen, practically atleast 6-10 qp games or 4-6 comp games.
Otherwise look overwatch is just a fun pass time for you and you are better of playing qp and not bother about ranks.
It’s no good in silver 3. I encountered bots, tank throwers, smurfs and leaver. The comp in this game is awful. Just avoid playing this pos game.
Griefers
I’ve been calling them griefers for years. People who get their rocks off throwing games so they can stay in bronze and grief the noobs.
Bronze is full of griefers. You aren’t actually playing overwatch in bronze. You are a toy for experienced players. You won’t learn strategy with a mix of smurfs and noobs. You aren’t playing overwatch.
I bought a new account. It’s the only way to solo out of bronze. You won’t git gud until you are matched with players who are actually playing the game.
It took you a whole week to play 9 matches, of which you basically went win, loss, win, loss for 50% ratio… And you’re complaining about not climbing from the lowest rank in the game?
Seriously, you may need to play 10 times that amount to get out of a rank repeatedly pushing just above a 50% win ratio.
Yes, but it’s something broken in you where you perform as a bronze 5 in a bronze 5 rank and expect to climb for some intangible reason. Doubly so when you insult and are toxic towards the developers when they have done nothing to deserve that treatment.
Fix yourself and you’ll climb. There are people who can genuinely help you do so if you’re willing to put in the time, work and self-improvement required (which is arguably minor to get out of Bronze 5 compared to other ranks) but you have to be open and honest with yourself and accept that people who reach out to help may bring some uncomfortable truths.

cheating is a problem in all ranks, its not exclusive to bronze 5.
Willing to bet that you could let 99% of the people on here play on your account for a day and it’ll be at least Silver.
You can hope for the placement matches they plan to do in some weeks
