It still does not really fit with her hero. It clearly had nothing to do with over trying to make the game more kid friendly because Widow has almost that exact same pose which is why I buy into them saying it was more that Tracer does not really fit a pin-up girl style.

Eh, it’s just an over the shoulder pose, hardly makes it pinup or any other theme. Just sexy at best. And that’s what we want!

Not sure if serious, but, her victory pose still shows her butt.
Nothing was changed about her butt in that pose. Only the position of her legs and arms. You can still observe Tracer’s buttocks in all their glory. Reverting the pose does literally nothing to enchance or change that. It only makes the general pose look generic and out-of-character.

It is kind of a pin-up girl sexy pose and that is not really Tracer. It does not fit her personality. I cannot see Tracer using that pose, it just does not fit. It fits Widow and thus many of the “sexy” poses in this game are associated with her.

The pose they replaced it with was a pin-up pose. Though it was more in line with Tracer’s character because said pinup poses were slapped on a lot of aircraft. Think it was called pilot pinup pose.

really, no one wanted that removed.
The problem is that america as a culture is so capitalist driven that anything that might harm reputation with shareholders is swiftly removed.
That’s why companies only pay lip service at best to the protests by removing “problematic” stuff, but what they are really doing is pretending nothing bad is happening and diminishing the protest.
It’s not sjws that’s the problem, it’s late stage american capitalism

If you look at both poses back to back while similar they communicate very different personalities. The original pose is somewhat flirty, whereas the replacement pose communicates a spunky and energetic hero which is more in line with what Tracer is.
Now if Tracer were a more flirty hero that would be fine, but that is not who she is.

The pose wasn’t removed because it’s “sexy”. Widowmaker has pretty much the exact same, and the one for Tracer it was replaced with shows her butt the exact same amount. It was redone because it didn’t fit her character, with the same amount of butt.
