Bring Back McCree Stun

Good interactions, and smart plays could be done with his stun. He could stun a Genji deflecting. He could stop a Reinhardt from shattering, He could better peal for healers. His new grenade is just a no skill move with no good play interactions.

Bring back shield bash stun for all the same reasons

But also I don’t want to return to getting stunned + mcfanned in back

No thanks I think I speak for the majority of players when I say that I’m happy I’m not getting permanently stunned

I agree he became so boring and pointless, didn’t pick him once in OW2. Same as Brig, Mei, etc
Thought CC removals was a good thing before the launch and now my opinion is polar opposite

The only thing it was just annoying. But people have to learn how to play around it. It was possible to outplay the stun.

Not really anything ā€œsmartā€ about Flashbang. Its just as bad as his sticky grenade now.

They both drop the effort required by Cassidy to get kills. They are cheap and scummy.

It was a free kill on flankers and a really bad punishment for Tanks

As dumb as it sounds I would like to see a scenario where magnetic grenade gets replaced by pocket sand and instead of a stun effect its a blinding effect.

I’m not gonna lie, I miss stun (I never disliked cc though), but I also like his new utility. Yes, it’s a lot of dmg and requires less skill, IMO, to secure kills

However, I also enjoy using it to force reaper, moira, sombra etc… to use their escape abilities. It feels almost better at protecting backline

No. Never again.

idk about a stun but it should be reworked to some other form of cc. maybe a brief but strong slow like beta junk trap. obviously the damage & tracking would probably have to be nerfed though

Reduce the damage and make it a heavy snare grenade.

Targets can still move and fight back but Cassidy would still have to focus on his gunslinging first. The slow would assist that while still requiring player effort.

This new threat from his pistol plus the, say, 50 damage would still be able to force certain heroes to use their invuln/dodge tech.

I’d like it if it didn’t mean losing a huge amount of backline/flanker defense. The only way this would work is if those same characters could not fade/wraith/tele out of the snare.

To be honest CC for me was more fun than annoying and introduced gameplay variety: trying to take down Mei before you’re frozen, see if you can headshot Tracer after flash or she can recall and win, see if you can trick Rein or not with the flash, the need to keep distance from CC characters. Now everything is samey hitscan shooting range, everyone else is unfitting and not viable

It wasn’t an automatic kill. For example, Reaper could fade away at the right moment to avoid the stun. Genji and McCree had a mind game of when and where to stun and when to deflect.

Make it a grounding affect! Targets can still react but they cannot gain movement speed or use mobility skills.

Fade, for Moir, may still work but would prevent the movement speed bonus. Unless yoh consider it a cleansable ability and that Moira isn’t technically the flanker you need to worry about.

Then you’d have most flanker still affectd.

Hahahaha no.

You and your team can actively outplay sticky though due to the timer, whereas stun functioned very similarly to Hog’s hook from a TTK perspective.

  • heal through it
  • invuln through it
  • ability dodge/cancel it

If you were within range of a stun, it was likely that McCree was fractions of a second away from dispatching you before a counter could be initiated.

Bring it back but nerf the duration, buff the damage.

A 0.35s stun (recovery time being 0.35s, so basically a mutual stun), with 60 dmg would do the work.
