I think that there was really no reason to remove level borders in the release of OW2 tbh and removing levels just kinda removed most progression of the game. My goal ever since I bought the game was to get to a really high level (Diamond) but now that levels are gone the only real goal I had while paying overwatch is gone.

They didn’t say they didn’t enjoy the game for other reasons. They just said that was their goal. Stop being so judgmental.
And yes I agree OP, Blizz should bring back player portraits. I also think they should bring back post-match cards. Just introduce a SKIP button to emphasize players can leave right away if they prefer to.

Never understood why this upset some people to the point it was removed from the game.
Cuz some of us don’t care about being high level and low rank.
The border offers players milestones and a sense of progression.

Exactly, it’s hilarious how it was removed from this franchise but in Halo it’s being begged for on hands and knees.
Why not disable text/voice chat so you don’t have to hear it? Why give players you play with the chance to voice their opinions of you when you have the autonomy to live blissfully without interaction you’d be upset by?
Why take away a feature many others prefer when you have the ability to stop the issue on your own?

Because its not just 1 person this happens to. Some people like to communicate with their teammates. Not everyone is toxic. I also keep a private profile.
I think if YOU want borders. Then they should be customizable. So that people like me who don’t care about having borders but don’t want to give trolls unnecessary ammo can keep our privacy.

Take it from someone who has had the diamond border: you don’t want the diamond border.
Unless you’re GM, you’ll get flamed every match for either being “a hardstuck * insert rank here * with a diamond border” when your team loses, or flamed for being a Smurf because apparently no one can have a diamond border and still be in plat.
I had to create this new account just to get rid of my border when we still had them, because I’d get so much abuse.

Agreed. I had created alt accounts as well for the same reason.
I got a diamond border too. Nothing about it gave me a sense of pride or accomplishment. So i am glad they’re gone.
