Kaplan would have never stood for this MMR BS… He knew what this game was about and the Activision idiots came in and Broke it. This isn’t friggin’ COD. Stop worrying about selling $20-$30 skins/comestics and focus on fixing your game balancing. Silvers should not be playing against Plats… Golds should not be playing against Diamonds…etc…

Unfortunately one person cant stop transformation from game to F2P with waifus. If santa was real I’d with blizz invite Jeff to make overwatch classic (subscription model, 6x6 and 5x5 , no shop)
How about they just go and hire people who have 1000 hours on the game. Rather than hire cat poop who have great CVs, great interview skills but little to no experience with the game. I want management and Devs that spend many hours a week playing the LIVE game.

Agreed. I saw some of the recent Dev interviews on the changes they made and a few of them look like they just graduated high school. No experience at all with the game and the industry makes for a not good situation for all of us.
He didn’t, that’s why he is gone.
Whether that’s because he saw the writing on the wall and bailed of his own free will, or if he made a stand and got let go because he didn’t bend to the will of the fat cats who wanted the game to be the broken mess it is today, we will never know.

They had the same thing in OW1, but it was less noticeable in 6v6. But a lot of us didn’t like Jeff BECAUSE of the MMR.

They said in the 2019 financial reporting they were going to put the CoD model into more games. You can’t be upset they are doing as they said they would.

CoD model shouldn’t be in Every Game. The model that was in place in OW1 worked and that’s why it won Game of the Year and produced over a Million dollars it’s first year.

It still had rigging but it was dialed down. OW2 implemented even more levels of rigging (SBMM+EOMM+DDA) for the sake of engagement and churn in a F2P+P2W model. Some of the fake aim/reg/io is part of crossplay rigging. Hiding ranks and making all the ladder progression entirely fake ft. boosted rank shifts? Just an obfuscation to gaslight and misdirect from the non-existent playerbase.
Jeff actually stood by legitimate, skill-based meritocracy. He stood by not rigging the game into oblivion for cash. Aaron is the opposite. He gets on the camera, lies to our face, and grins about a new map and dodges every technical question regarding how the MM algs are coded.
It absolutely makes the customer the product.

Kaplan had his issues sure, he left us with double shield and focused on PVE which was a bad decision.
But he’s not as bad as Aaron Keller who gave us this poor excuse of a MM. I had way more balanced games in OW1.
MMR has always been in the game. Thats not the problem, well it is and it isnt. The system is incredibly flawed giving the appearance of being a rigged system and I honestly cant blame people for thinking that. But the fact is its not the system its the implementation of it. But in all seriously the system is so bad it looks rigged. Its just absolutely trash. Like how it will put a solo queue player against the same boosting stack over and over again day after day and thinks thats balance. Its not rigging its just a very very bad system, like incredibly bad! Worst in any game current or past. They may as well not even have one.
I have one account thats good. Good balanced games (higher ranked) this one is absolutely garbage and it would take a OWL player to move it from the trash ranks. The system just wont allow it to rank up. Because its in fact bad not because its intentionally doing it. Its just very very very bad and doesnt work as it should.
