Were good and fun maps so now bring them back and remove a few other maps.

I think you can play all those maps in “Arcade”. You need to choose “Assault Maps”.
I played all those maps very recently.
They still exists and we can play it, but they are not in quick play since some considered unbalanced.

Is 5cp a new mode or is that just a new flashpoint map?

New mode with linear spread of capture points or something.
New mode, called Clash.
It’s like 2CP, but there are 5 CPs. Two on your side of the map (which are controlled by your team), two on the enemy’s side of the map (which are controlled by the enemy team) and one in the middle (which is controlled by no team).
Only one point is active at any one time, and the goal of the mode is for you to have all 5 points captured for a clear victory, or have the most points captured when the timer ends.

2CP could be a viable balanced mode again with some map tweaks (and with 5v5). They just need to add some chokepoint relief for 1st point on most (or all) of those maps. There’s more you could do, but just doing that would help immensely.

Nah, I don’t think they’re going to bring back 2CP at all.
They understand it’s a popular mode though, which is why they’re creating a new version of it soon, which is Clash.
I agree, they’re not bringing it back. Mainly just saying the problems with 2CP had to do with map issues as much as the mode itself.

Honestly should bring back 2cp maps just have both teams on attack. There’s more than enough room for 2 spawn rooms near the original attack spawn, just wall off some of the alleys in between them. Add a 3rd point and it becomes flashpoint on a nicer map.
Not only were they amazing but their remival gutted all the heroes that thrived on defensive comps. Junk sym torb mercy were all stronger on 2cp than any ither game mode. Now we only have hitscan dream maps left

actually 2cp is the only arcade mode i get quick matches, any other mode takes between a relatively large amount of queue time and a lot of queue time, in ow1 arcade matches were always instantaneous? jeez i wonder why, maybe becayse playing arcade gives you some kind of reward
remember the crisis core pve mode novody ever played? 40 minutes of queue and still couldnt find a match
