In overall, DVA feels more iconic than Kiriko.
Her gaming background and personality fits much more to be Arcade icon than Kiriko. Look back in Hanamura, DVA achieved top scores for every Arcade machines.

True, she fits the Arcade theme way better.
They’ve really been pushing Kiriko hard lately. She’s like the new poster child for OW2; is incredibly strong, getting tons of skins, and she’s basically everywhere you look

Kiriko didn’t feel much iconic after Season 1 (her release) & 3 (mythic skin).
Except on Blizzard world, Sombra has the highest score there.
D.Va should definitely be the face of arcade!

Only reason I can think of for the swap is equal representation in the menus for all three roles. But that hasn’t stopped them constantly in the past of neglecting Support so it’s not a good reason.
There’s supposed to be Moira for Experimental mode, but it’s disabled.
Agreed that having Dva be the face of arcade just seems more fitting. No idea why they thought the change was needed.

I guess they wanted new hero rep, but they could’ve just as easily put Sojourn on Unranked or Comp.

I liked the old icons more. I just like there being 2D art instead of models. The way it turned into the model when you hovered over it was cool though. But, I still like how colorful the ones in ow1 were.
