It feels like forever we retrieved 6v6 Open Queue. I understood nostalgia but it has been many seasons now since 5v5 was replaced.
Is 6v6 Open queue seriously that much more popular that it’s been running for multi seasons or was it fully forgotten?

I think 5v5 OQ was a very niche mode. Most people considered it a colossal disaster with horrible tank balance. I dont really expect it will ever come back, tbh.

considering 6v6 rq/oq takes forever more than rq im gonna say nah it’s not more popular. all they had to do was either balance for open queue or do the 2 tank limit like they do now. all part of the plan to force people to play 5v5 rq because of their ego
While open queue in general is much less popular than role queue, I can’t imagine another unranked mode being an option. Nor do I see 6v6 going away for the most likely lesser played 5v5 tank stack queue.
The last time the devs talked about it, Max 2 Tanks had double the number of people playing it than 5v5 OQ. So yeah, I’d assume 5v5 OQ’s not coming back unless stated otherwise.

It has been a long while, but me and my group rather often enjoyed the 5v5 open queue format. Sure it was random but that was the fun of it. 6v6, we have truly attempted it but it simply reminds me of all the reasons as to why 5v5 is simply more superior playing experience

Min1-Max2 is the best format for 5v5.
I almost like it as much as 2-2-2.
I want 6v6 Role Queue. Put Open Queue in Arcade only and enforce roles for the whole main game. It’s just inherently better and a more polished experience with roles enforced in my opinion. I wish I could play the Assault Maps with 6v6 Role Queue as well.
