Brigitte's flail feels off

There’s a distinct lack of crunch to the sound design, and the flail itself doesn’t feel like it’s living up to it’s description.

  • Brigitte’s melee weapon has an extended range, enabling her to strike multiple enemies with a single swing.

It doesn’t feel like it has an extended range. It feels longer than a quick melee, sure, but it doesn’t feel remotely close to Rein’s hammer/Genji’s sword swing which do have pretty lengthy ranges, largely because of the narrow cone.

And even though I know it can hit more than one person with it, it doesn’t feel like it can with the short width cone. It feels off.

  • The flail would have benefited greatly from the old melee system, where you could swing your mouse left and right and the “melee hitbox” would continue to linger (the quick melee trick where you could hit all railings with a 180 degree turn).

Maybe re-add the old melee system, for Brigitte? It makes sense for her flail to be whipped around wildly.

I was definitely expecting a wider sweep like the crusaders sweep in Diablo, hits virtually all targets in a 180 degree cone in front of you comparable to Reinhardt or Genji

Post this in the PTR section. In theory Blizz would catch it and look at it that way, they may see it here too but the PTR feedback is where it needs to be

Like, don’t get me wrong, i Love Her design, But the first time i saw the Flail, i thought: Oh, That kinda looks… Weird… Especially for a Flail

Agreed.

It lacks that feeling of impact and…satisfaction? Whip Shot especially bothers me, comparing it to probably the most similar ability design-wise - Chain Hook, the feedback feels really off.

The animation looks kinda weird to me, like it’s missing something or isn’t fluid

It doesn’t feel anything like that to me, same range as genji blade which is slightly higher than reinhardt’s, and i can hit multiple targets with it with ease, and personaly i found its animation very smooth and enjoyable
