At this point you could just remove it completely or give it 1 HP. There is no point in using it. It’s a new challenge: get close to enemies to use your melee and don’t die.

She’s a character that was designed to get close to enemies and smash them with her mace and heal everyone around. Now the best you can do is just stay behind your team and sometimes throw shift at your enemies. If you want to get close to your enemy to use bash and not die you must use your shield, that gets deleted in 1-2 seconds. And these two abilities - shield and bash are now absolute trash, no point in using them, if you can just stay behind everyone and throw armor packs.
I can’t give another example of how stupid is this rework. Something like if Zen couldn’t use his orbs if he’s below 75% of health.

She was never meant to be able to brawl with the whole enemy team though. She is still really strong on a 1v1 basis. Other than that play with your main tanks, you can still keep inspire up. Stop trying to be aggressive or pushing ahead of your team.

My problem is trying to protect my rein when his shield goes down and then dying before he can get a fire strike out.
It’s a huge part of how I play with my rein and it’s going to be a 50-50 tossup now if he gets railed after my shield shatters halfway through his fire strike or getting into cover.

That’s your rein’s fault for not shield managing. Where’s your off tank? Your DPS aren’t pressuring their tanks and making space.
If you’re running rein into orisa hog it’s almost guaranteed you’re gonna lose the shield war. It isn’t brig’s fault. Change your playstyle.

My rein and I have strategies, dude. It’s not his fault for putting a shield down to firestrike while I plan to guard his fat head@ss.
My point was not ‘the rest of the team’ yada yada. I’m talking about having fun with the strategies I put in place with my rein. I’m not talking about comp game crap that I WILL change a playstyle for.
Literally she is either stuck in the back like a scared puppy or stuck to the main tank because she can’t move anywhere else on her own without dying immediately.
And then when said tank dies she also immediately dies afterwards or was killed like 2 seconds prior.
Its really stupid and this change to her was a giant fail.
If she cant have mobility, good damage, consistent healing, range, OR defense, then what is the point of using them at all??

Guarding backline from a reaper? Nope, shields down in two shots. 
Sure a change in strategy is necessary but what was the point of brig then?

Enemy skill management? Him firestriking to get shatter charge while you protect him has to be at optimum times too. And yes your team matters lol. If you’re trying to protect your rein when he FS’s without your team backing you up, that’s when your shield goes down.
Literally just switch. Shes not healing enough to use that as an excuse.

I’m not sure about lower elo, but current brig requires optimum teamwork and gamesense which is a norm at my elo. She plays really well into a coordinated team. I can only speak from my experience.
But the question is why run her when there are characters that can do her job much better?
Its not even a question of if there is an easier option, its just that there are better ones.
This “rework” didnt make her better, didnt make her harder to play, nothing. All it did was neuter her effectiveness in a game.

My point is that it SHOULDN’T be that way, dude. She’s a tanky support, she needs the ability to protect her team for the 5 seconds before her tank gets called over. If she dies because her team wasn’t around then yes, that’s her fault. BUT, the team doesn’t change the fact that her shield is a toothpick. I’m not saying she should be able to brawl the other team, I don’t play that way, but she doesn’t seem to fit the niche area of defending supports and tanks like she did. I think they could have done just as well to up the healing percentage she got from damage or lowerign the damage she put out.
I honestly would just switch now, because mercy is better or a mei is better. But I want to play brig, you know? My squire.
