Brigitte is possibly based mostly on Scout and Femscout (in terms of appearance and backstory) while being primarily based on Ash from Paladins. Yes I know Femscout is not canon, but even the Overwatch devs may have taken inspiration.
Femscout: Assuming Femscout is a genderbent version of Scout in every way, this would mean she is the youngest of her eight sisters like Brigitte is the youngest of her sisters. However Their moms and dads will be discussed with Scout. Although Brigitte in appearance is mostly inspired from Ygritte from Game of Thrones, Brigitte also looks like Femscout and with certain cosmetics, you can make Scout (TF2)/Femscout (SFM) look like a cosmetic version of Brigitte.
Scout: Scout and Brigitte may not share much in common, but they do have a dad who is playable (Torbjorn, Spy) and a mom who appears in outside content (Ingrid Lindholm, Scout’s Mom).
This leads me to believe Ash (Paladins) + Ygritte (Game of Thrones) + Femscout/Scout (Team Fortress 2) = Brigitte

Yes and Brigitte was created in 2018 while the latest comic revealed Spy is Scout’s dad, not long after Reflections which is Brigitte’s introduction (During Janurary 2017)

No if you actually look at them story wise, you will see how heavily Brig resembles Scout and even the devs would know about the unofficial Femscout because she is one of the most popular characters among the TF2 community.
yeah i don’t think femscout is really that popular if she’s fanmade like the rest of the fem mercs in tf2.
I mean, fempyro wasn’t that popular because her design was awful.
The original mercs are way better since they’re the most recognizable and have so much backstory. Meanwhile, these genderswap versions are just carbon copies with not much ideal backstory and literal clones.
