I don’t doubt that it’s bugged and worse now, but I’ve found Brig barrier to be kinda inconsistent even before this patch. If I’m playing Brig I’ll do everything in my power not to stand on steps or ledges or the payload because I’ve had Shatter/nukes creep underneath the barrier and hit me anyway. A bit more verticality on the thing would be nice.

this was always a thing dating back to her own initial release. us brig mains have been BEGGING for the devs to add more verticality to her shield, a tiny bit more width, and for it to have the same deployment speed as reinhardt (because for some reason she has this delay for her shield)

Listen, listen, you guys CLEARLY aren’t the core gamers. You see, for core gamers, the shield works just fine. You simply haven’t spent enough to see the core game in all its glory. It’s the best OW2 has ever been!

Bro this has been a thing since about 16 months pre-OW2.
Her shield has been broken for over 2 years now, they will never fix it.

I think its due to wonky LOS checks and the shield being relatively small. I dont think its a new issue.
Like when trying to block rein shatter if you look up the slightest you wont block it or something. even if visually the shield is still touching ground.
It seems to be if her sheild is fresh but if its damaged it sometimes works i hope they fix it as fast as they did with hanzo. But its weird its only 5 heros and they are all tanks

I’m seeing a ton of sync issues. I’ve died in spawn from a bastion ult that was on the other side of the map. Getting shot thru walls and hearing hack AFTER it and virus are applied make the game kind of meh.

I would guess that there’s some sort of animation glitch that causes part of Brigitte’s hand hitbox to poke through the shield, making her vulnerable to hammer and bomb, but hat 'corrects" when the shield itself takes damage.

Well, there’s also the fact that its hitbox literally follows the contours of the shield; this means that those little scooped corners are actually completely open space, and can make brig vulnerable to things like Shatter or bomb if she’s on stairs or at a slightly canted angle or some nonsense like that.

As soon as the Devs even make an attempt to fix brigs shield, flats, samito and every other cc will squeal that it’s op because of latent goats PTSD.
