Brigitte is barely playable

You resort on healing from your passive more than any other support hero, but that has been reduced (significantly), so you have to hope to land a rocket flail hit to trigger your meager inspire regeneration, or just camp a health pack, such fun gameplay. Thanks. :shield:

Still better than none at all.

I completely disagree. Brig is quite strong and could use some nerfs. It’s just that the meta right now is unfavourable to her. If you compare her to the other supports, you could say she’s weak. But look at the bigger picture and you’ll see she’s quite strong. The inspire you call meager is generally, what makes her strong. She has good aoe healing and really good single target healing. Once dive tank’s are strong again people will be calling for nerfs.

she got destroyed since ow1, she was so much fun to play, of course she was strong in close range, that was the point of her kit, she came back to be playable in season 1 of ow2, and then more nerfs, and her ult rework was so stupid

And not long ago, they also reduced her barrier HP from 300 to 250, which I now imagine had something to do with it being used to help activate the support passive. Now the passive activation time has been nerfed, and the barrier remains at 250

But oh well, still better than OW1 where we were 100% reliant on our co-support if we were low and wanted to whip something without dying :woman_shrugging:

I have no problem playing her in masters

I am not following. Like, yes, she is good against dive tanks. I would certainly hope, at least.

Brig will always be a high rank pick only, because your mates have to utilize her heals and ult and dictate her value. Dont play her in low ranks. She might look like a meele hero, but in reality she is so squishy that she has to play in the mid or even back line… complete stupidity, but people dont like her to be a real melee hero. Otherwise she would heal less with her passive, has 250 HP like all other close range heroes and deal more damage with her poolnoodle.

Ya her job is to protect your mid line dps and other support

How in the world does she need nerfs she’s easily one of the worst supports. The main use for brig was to counter genji and tracer but without her stun Moira simply does it ten times better and as for raw healing every support does that better besides zen. And if you’re looking for a good support ultimate that provides overhealth anyone would easily choose lifeweaver or Lucio over her. She has no place in the game right now and provides nothing besides being tankier (which is irrelevant since she only has 200 Hp and the hitbox of a 250 Hp hero)

You can totally play her into low ranks. Brigitte has a hilarious amount of dueling potential and is excellent at punishing overaggressive players. Half of Brig’s value is not necessarily advancing herself, but abusing the fact that you want to come to her and she’s there standing behind a wall waiting.

If you give 3sec behind a wall she’ll have healed off ~60hp, her whipshot is 1sec to usage again, shield bash will have 2sec to usage again, she’s 3sec to repair pack, and shield will have regenerated 85health.

Give her 5sec?
120hp restored
Whip shot/Shield bash is back
Shield health completely restored.

She probably just hit you with a whip shot ducked behind cover for 4sec, and now you are within range to shield bash primary whip shot to death for a quick kill. On top of shield pumping lets you duel certain characters such as you can completely block ana sleep dart and bionades. you can block sigma rocks, stop hog hooks, etc.

The problem is as we saw at the end of OW1, people simply do not know how to play Brig well in terms of both dueling other people 1v1 and knowing how to survive in a team environment when you only have melee range.

if you are struggling so hard to land her flail that you are hoping and praying it lands, thats a skill issue lol

brig is designed too peel people off of the backline and shes very good at it.

if youd like to deal dmg or focus on healing we have supports designed specifically to do that and you should instead play one of them.

brig is incredibly strong in her niche of being the best peel support for your co-support. literally every single time ana is meta during dive brig is also perma meta because of her.

we probably shouldnt strive to make brig a great generalist when she encourages clumped up group play where abilities make the most impact instead of actual primary/alt fire

And IMO, they also seem to love using this as en excuse to not nerf Ana; they just throw the nerfs at Brig instead, the one who isn’t a :sparkles: “community favorite” :sparkles:

You should be doing this anyway so you can, ya know, heal your teammates. This is the primary way you should be healing your team. ABPI (Always Be Procing Inspire)

Brig is great, albeit a bit situational, but in her niche she’s pretty great.

(she’s great at anti-dive and protecting the other support)
If the enemy team has a doom, a ball, genji, tracer, sombra, ect. ect.

That being said, if you’re fighting a more ranged poke comp, like sigma, ram, soldier, ashe, bastion, ect. then yeah, you’re gonna have a bad time if you pick brig.

to be fair they should, not because shes broken but because she deserve it for all the damage her existence did too overwatch 1.

never before have i a seen a hero that literally made a significant portion of the playerbase instantly quit, created an oppressive meta that the devs couldnt balance without deleting said hero, that that then caused even more people to quit that caused even more broken meta’s down the like that lead to role queue and helped create 5v5…and yet the hero still exists today.

they should of deleted brig and moved on instead of trying to fit her into the game.

Brig literally launched five years ago. But at this point, I’ve stopped expecting people to get over it. Let them loathe us for eternity :metal:

5 years

she launched in 2018, 7 years ago would of been the launch of overwatch 1

Welp I don’t know how I miscounted that so badly every single time. My bad (Edit: I just realized I was counting it like a clock: I dropped the 10’s place, and went 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3. Good grief)

But still, my point stands
