I left overwatch about 2 months ago to go play siege and fortnite and now that I’ve come back I can’t even recognize this game anymore. I don’t have a problem with stuns in this game directly. Ana takes aim, mcree puts himself at risk with the flashbang range, doomfist is somewhat hard to hit and puts himself in danger and roadhog’s hook is hard to hit. However the fact that Brigitte can cancel almost any ult from behind a shield without worrying too hard about aiming is bull. The fact that Brigitte can walk up to the enemy rein from behind a shield and take his shield done is crazy op. Just from walking up to rein you can give your own rein a free shatter onto the enemy. If I get stunned my a mcrree while using a hog ult that’s my fault for letting him get too close, but the fact that Brigitte can just walk up to me from behind a shield and cancel my ult is stupid. Brigitte is a great hero but her shield bash is ridiculously broken and then stun should either be removed or severely nerfed.
She gets pushed off even with her shield up by Hog’s ult. And her shield breaks like in a second. It’s more a skill and good reaction to stop Hogs ult by Brigitte than anything else.
Short: you are the problem using his ult so close to her.
Are you sure about that? From my experience of playing hog about 20 minutes ago i’m pretty sure she can walk up to you without being pushed back.
She can 1v1 all the offense, defense (besides pharah) and support characters how is this fair? As a tracer and genji main my goal is to flank the other supports and dps heroes how am I supposed to do that if I keep getting one shot comboed by the brigitte? People will say to switch to other heroes like widowmaker but the enemy winston keeps diving me? She is an issue, clear enough
She doesn’t get pushed back as hard as heroes without shield, but still if she’s like 4m away she won’t be able to stun an ulting Hog.
Btw. I got her archievement by stunning Hog that started to ult just in front of me and was only able to get it because the payload behind me prevented me from being pushed away.
It is fair because this is a 6vs6 and because she can do that in melee range while all other characters can shoot her from kingdom come.
I’m sorry but I literally just went into a custom game a few seconds ago and didn’t change any setting and Brigitte is not pushed back by hogs ult. Your wrong.
You have literally never played her.
Maybe try figuring her out to see if you can see what to not do before you QQ about her?
No, only a few characters can do worthwhile damage at a safe range, and she still has a shield.
My problem exactly i played her for my first time for 3 matches and was able to dominate easily. I could simply walk up to rein’s uncontested besides everyone shooting at my shield and stun the rein hence opening my team up for a shatter. It’s so easy i can do it my first time playing.
I got ulted quite a few times by Hog as Brigitte and she is getting pushed off, but if you press W and Hog isn’t hitting her shield with most of the pellets/ isn’t aiming so she loses the connection to the ground she isn’t pushed back as hard.
Also the strength of the push isn’t consistent. Some people learn to fly with it, others just get slightly pushed back. Don’t know how it works against bots. Never tested it.
I just tested it from both the hog and Brigitte side and their is no knockback. I don’t see why rein wouldn’t get knocked back but Brigitte would.
Oh wow, well she can do 0 damage and then she does abysmal damage. Her shield can be bypassed easily or bombed down even more easily.
Pharah and Junkrat can melt her incredibly easily, WInston wins even diving her, Widow can place her in a spot where she doens’t care of her shield (Hanzo too), Soldier can melt her shield while self healing and kiting her, Mei can stun her, Roadhog can Hook her, melt her and metl her shield all at once, Mc Cree can roll away as she is getting closer or to the side, Orisa can ignore her stun and stick her away, D.Va can dive her.
You talk like she has the stat of a Reinhardt and the damage of an Ulting Genji.
I just can’t take these threads seriously at this point. She’s not even playable in comp yet. Can people please try to be less reactionary and wait to see if she really does need some changes? It’s so tiring to see these uninformed threads day after day.
It’s not hard for her to get close to a rein with how much health her shield has and then stun him. All she needs is to stun the rein and then her whole team can dominate
Why do threads like this even exist? It’s literally just degenerate babies crying over a hero because something happens that they personally don’t like despite never having touched the hero at all.
Reinhardt wasn’t in my list of “counters” for a reason. And I’m of the idea that Brigiitte charge should be stopped by Rein barrier because is too much a pain for him.
Sure it is a Pain, just as much as his teammates not standing behind his shield and melting a 1400HP weaker one.
Which is why if you’re using your rein to defend against an enemy rein, maybe don’t let the enemy brigitte walk around uncontested.
When I see her trying to open us up for a shatter, I’ll cover for my rein with grenades, mines, and my trap. If she can’t get close without getting destroyed she can’t stun him.
Alternatively you can counter her stun with a Zarya bubble on your rein. Because of her stun’s limited range it shouldn’t take good Zaryas very long to figure out the counter-bubble timing, especially when they have put in the time on Brigitte necessary to figure out how to stun an enemy rein to provide that opening to their team.
Overwatch is a game about counters, and Brigitte is still new. All of this is going to take time. It’s too early to scream for nerfs, especially since the entire idea behind Brigitte is to shake up the meta.
All told, she’s impactful yes, but hardly OP.
This is the biggest problem IMO. Rein is his shield and when the enemy team gets a window like that it destroys him. His pickrate WILL drop to zero in competitive when she’s released.
The fact that she can also cut his charge with the shield bash is inconsistent with the Doomfist/Rein match-off.
Shield bash shouldn’t be able to stun Reinhardt from the front when he has his shield up.
