I am a support main, and I was really hoping that Brigitte would really help out in a very needed healing slot. But I have seen and played her in PTR, and I really think a big thing that really hurt her as a hero and her team is her low healing capabilities. With a 6 second wait time to be able to heal a teammate is a bit crazy and really hurts her. What I think would really fix that is if she had a second charge for her armor / heath-pack ability (E). If she was able to heal more people in a pinch would really make her more viable.
She seems more like a alternative lucio. she does AOE healing via wacking people in her passive.
She’s a hybrid character. She’s basically an off healer and an off tank. She can’t fill the main healer duties, but she can front line and help with the push which is different for a healer.
To me she seems to have more in common with Lucio than Moira, so I would not choose to have her as an only healer.
I agree. She is like a tank/healer hybrid just without the health of a tank. Her ultimate heals people around her but she doesn’t have to heal to be a support. Think of Symmetra, she doesn’t heal and she is a support. If Brigette can heal I would call her a support. (Plz no replying to this saying that I think Soldier can heal teammates, I know he can heal, but he is more offensive then Healer)
She’s actually quite balanced.
16.5 hps healing in a 10m radius around her when dealing damage with her flail (so not with shield bash) and for 5 seconds after last dealing damage with her flail.
150 hp burst heal, with any excess being halved and turned into armor for 5 seconds.
She’s not a main healer, but quite a powerful tank/heal hybrid.
She feels more like an off tank than a healer to be completely honest.
She is both an off tank and an off healer
I expect there will be a buff like that in about 6 months as I don’t think she will get much play in comp after the first month.
Her healing is pretty underwhelming. Her attacks don’t do much damage. She has a good ult, and her ability to stun is, I think her main drawcard.
Her combo is good at finishing off low HP heroes.
She is fun, and people are currently mistaking fun for powerful.
I think she is an OK, off tank, off healer hybrid, but, she doesn’t do either role good enough to take a slot in a team.
Yeah I don’t understand how people are complaining about her healing.
I’m actually listening to a video right now about how Brigitte would be better in a tank slot, as an offtank, rather than a second support and it just makes no sense to me.
Inspire = 16 hps
Armor health = 25 hps (if you use it every time its off cooldown)
Rally = better sound barrier
Her abilities are exactly the same as Zen and Lucio, and people would be OK with them as a second support, so why not Brigitte.
Her E puts out 25 hps, which is slightly less than Zenyatta’s orb. But don’t forget that her passive also heals for ~15 hps in an AOE, which is almost the same as Lucio.
Overall she actually puts out quite a bit of healing. Not a main healer, but she can definitely compete with Zen and Lucio. I’ve even beaten Mercy and Moira for gold heals before, though obviously PTR QP isn’t a great measure of balance.
And don’t forget the impact of her armor. E overheals and especially ult overheals make a big difference in a fight, particularly vs full commit pellet heroes like winston, d.va, and tracer.
This character should be filling as an off Support in most comps. She has decent aoe healing and a direct heal that does 150 healing or 75 armor.
If those to aren’t good enough to make her an off Support then I don’t know what is.
We just got Moira so putting in another primary healer would throw off the balance of the support roster. 3 primary healers (Moira, Mercy, Ana) and 3 secondary healers (Zenyatta, Brigitte, Lucio). This seems to be what Blizzard wants right now.
She’s an off healer/tank hybrid.
She’s the only character right now with an over-heal-into-armor mechanic. Even if it’s temporary, that can present some clutch saves on her teammates.
She’s not a “free/easy kill”, which is something that supports lacked for along time until they released Moira. Now we got Brigitte. Where Moira has life drain on biotic grasp and fade, Brigitte has toughness, stun, and boop capabilities.
She’s not really meant to be main support I think. Her supportive capabilities come a bit more from her CC abilities like the flail and the shield bash which can stun and even cancel some ultimates. Plus a shield that she can use to defend those with low hp while her healing ability is on cooldown.
And also her attack heals allies slightly so as long as she can attack she can maintain a passive heal on everyone but you’re right it’s not enough to make her a main healer but it’s cuz she bring more utility than healing imo.
Her E actually heals for 150, not 25
She’s a second healer, would do really well with Moira. But even though her healing isn’t the best, the fact that it turns into armor if the teammate is at full health is really useful. I’ve been able to keep teammates alive for quite a while with it.
25 hps, not 25 total. 150 healing / 6 second cooldown = 25, just shy of zenyatta’s 30.
No worries, she can stun, she can AoE heal through damage, she can provide armor like Torb, she has a CC ability and lastly but not least everyone besides her are small hitbox tanks. Only serious dps can counter this amount of armor health provided by her. Even better than Torbjörn, Symmetra or Lúcio and his Sound Barrier. The only thing fu**s the mind is that her Repair Pack doesn’t have a max health cap. If Brigitte’s armor stack up with Torb’s extra armor and Sym gives extra shield health everyone has at least 500 extra HP which must be addressed to Blizzard.
yea but isn’t it a burst heal tho
