Except you gave her a ranged instant heal + armor that incidentally happens to be incredibly broken when used on the 2 flankers that you see in every dive comp.

And those will probably be given armour as well by her. I’m afraid to see what’ll happen. She might do nothing but fortify the meta.

She might, but I kinda feel that Winston might be removed from it. He is so awful vs armor.

Except that heal has a 30m range and can be blocked by shields, and requires requires targeting to land on mobile herors.
Sure she can buff right before the dive, but if there is a Brigette on the opposing team, there stands reason that the divers named (Genji, Tracer) can be countered.

You said can be blocked by shields as if that is any sort of viable counterplay. Any brigitte player who can use more than 2 braincells will buff a flanker when the dive happens even if the enemy team has orisa rein winston all using shield at the same time.
Just dive everyone else and win lol her healing is weak asf

That doesn’t chang ethenfact that the point is that Brigette also counters those same divers.
She is better against dive than with dive, same for Moira.

I care because the time to kill in this game is slowly going up to toxic waste moba levels which makes aiming less relevant in a shooter game.

Armor makes a huge difference. Even if you’re “buffing” dive characters, she’s still more effective against them.
I don’t think dive is going to survive much longer if Baguette sticks around. Armor buffing your team (defending against dive) means a lot of the heroes in dive are no longer going to contribute much of anything.

Pretty much. If you use every repair pack you get on Tracer then you have an immortal flanker on your team. You then just need to sustain your team with your AOE and Moira, and it’s a good comp. I’m pretty sure the meta for her will just to keep Tracer immortal.

To be fair D.Va and Winston are the bread and butter of Dive. Hell Dive wasn’t even that strong (at least not as strong as it is today) before they buffed D.Va so even if only D.Va gets a solid counter that can stand up to her that’s a significant nerf to Dive (which lets be honest is what everyone wants).
Blizzard goal is to keep the game flexible, if something stays too in trend for long they will find ways to get rid of it.
We are at a stage where we should have transitioned out of Dive long ago and have moved onto to the next Meta.
Well Mei and Reaper are up to get some buffs. Geoff said maybe this week on the ptr m, but being it is Friday, it doesn’t look likely.
If they are buffed to be more generally viable, both will be good Dva counters.
