Brigitte’s pickrate is 3.66%, which is the second lowest Support (Lucio is barely behind her at 3.32%). Brigitte doesn’t take as much raw mechanical skill as a lot of heroes, but she’s not the instant win button everyone says she is or she’d be a must pick and in every game. If you think Brigitte is such an easy hero, then one trick her to GM and get back to me when you’re not hard stuck in gold/plat
Brigittes picked more then 17 other heroes and requires extremely low amounts of positioning gamesense and mechanical skills and theirs a lot more then a handfull of players who have climbed to gm 1tricking braindead baguette

You have to understand how the system works. Up to Diamond you’re judged off individual performance, for the sheer fact alone Brigitte is a Support, she won’t be punished as badly when she loses because Inspire will constantly be healing people, which puts her in a good spot as far as the algorithm goes.
From Diamond on you’re judged on TEAM performance. Meaning that you literally can’t just nab a hero and ride to masters and GM on your own, it’s a TEAM effort
I literally play in gm all the time theirs still boosted baguettes since she works with a lot of comps meh phones about to die
People who say she’s a freelo hero is wrong. She takes game sense and heavy amounts of optimization to perfect.
I do agree though, you can get value with brig without much skill, so playing brig will gain you sr presuming you learn how to play her more and more. But once you reach High master, and gm. Every move you do can change the outcome of a game.
Brig players need to be aware of who they’re booping and why, if it will get value. Who they are stunning and why, who they are giving armour to and why.
This goes way more in depth. Things like decision making with her E ability. Take this situation into consideration. Your in a fight and you have 3 allies low health and one full health battling a Zarya with her ultimate. A good brig will give the armour to the person fighting the Zarya rather than keeping her team alive only because the brig will know that Zarya has grav, and the same would go for other situations with other heroes.
There’s a lot more to them than just this, healing management and juggling healing is an important skill which takes time to learn, damage prediction to react with healing, positioning so that your inspire gets as much value as it can while still being able to do damage.
Positioning yourself differently against different team comps. Like against rein zarya you frontline with your Reinhardt assisting him, against dive you play backline and your job is to peel them off of your supports.
The hero is far more complicated than most think, and is very hard to maximize the value out of because of the amount of gamesense and understanding it will take.
Note: The situations i talked about are things that would happen at the highest end of the ladder. But it still stands that Brig isnt just a freelo hero.
You’re in GM. You know that Brigitte has no mobility and she’d get run over by a GOATS or Dive Comp in less than 10 seconds if she was alone.
Just stick with your team it isint difficult and even if you dont its rediculously ez to survive as her alone or not
I know a guy who’s been hard stuck in mid bronze as a Mercy main for 3 seasons. He switched to Brig and reached mid plat in ONE season. He’s still terrible btw.
Brig is pretty easy though relative to the rest of the hero cast
How come when people defend Brigitte they always use hypotheticals?
(i.e.) Try played Brigitte in GM and see what happens)
But people who argue that she is too strong have actually evidence
(i.e.) Akira, Dynamite)
How can she be easy if there is still Mercy? I mean, compared to Mercy, Brigitte takes a lot more skill.
Brigitte has been nerfed to the ground and another nerf is coming.
i am still surprised there are still ppl who can’t deal with her. Even tracer and genji are getting away easily with that 7 second cooldown.
I dont understand one thing. How she is still a problem? I mean I played agnist Baguette without one of my own and we just made her switch… Trick being to focus her down.
Evidence like … ? As far as I saw was one video of guy climbing up 3 tiers as Briggy. Okay and basing of that one guy we must assume every Briggy is boosted trash and hero is op broken…
this is… literally so sad to see…
- Brigitte excludes herself from meta to begin with. Because of her, every flanker in the game went Hanzo or Widow making her useless thus not picked.
- Actually you can find videos of people going from Plat up to master and such OTPing Brigitte when she was at the top of her game.
- Instead of trying to find some number crutch explanation. Why don’t you explain what is so difficult about Brigitte? Because it seems that a lot of us do not quite see the difficulties of the character.
a hero being easy doesnt mean you can 1 trick them to GM
youd still have to be a GM player to do so.
an easy hero simply means anyone can pick the hero up with minimal effort and play them in there own rank at maximum effectiveness.
example time,
imagine your a diamond genji main, so your in the top 15% of the playerbase and you play one of the higher skill heroes in the game.
you then decide, “i wanna play tracer”. youve never played her before but your going to give it a try. plus again, top 15% and you main another high skill hero…
what happens?
do you
A. stomp every team and prove how easy the hero is
or
B. likely drop in SR because you arnt diamond level on tracer
the correct answer for those of us who arnt prodigys is B
to play tracer requires you to actually learn her kit. blink mastery, animation cancels, prefered firing distances… ect. it can take hundreds of hours of play to reach the same level of play on a hero thats new even if your main is of a similar skill level
now take that same diamond genji and ask them to play brig
what happens.
theres no question as to what happens because they pick the hero up and play 100% with her in about 5 minutes. theyre not going to play GM level brig in diamond, but they’ll play diamond level brig 10/10 times.
so no you cannot force a bronze player into GM with brig. but anyone can play brig at the same rank they play the other heroes. they just have to input SOME effort for bout 5-10 minutes to learn the binds and your fine.
the only people who want to believe brig isnt easy are the ones who are too bad to play other heroes. they want to rationalize there brig pick as “im playing a skill based hero 2 so its fair i counter other skill based heroes” we all know thats not even close to true.
I have under 1 hour play time on brigitte in all modes on all my accounts combined. I should not be able to play her for like the 4th time ever in a mid masters game and carry if she was not easy and was actually a challenging hero.
That’s the point, this “skin intensive” part of her kit only comes at the top of ranked, in the mid to low tiers the only thing she does is stun lock people (specially main tanks) to death, and that’s where the problem with her comes from.
I’ll give you a fair example, that happens quite often in Plat, when there’s a very simple 2 or sometimes 3 hero combo with her:
1)Brigitte stuns the main tank, he’s probably dead already;
2)If not the average plat comp includes at least one more stun, be it Flashbang, Sleep Dart, you name it. After this second one, the main tank is 100% dead, unless a Nanoboost comes in;
3)If that happens, there’s a very high chance of a third stun to play a part in the nightmare of the main tank, to ensure his death.
And all of that, wich may seem to take one hell of a long time to happen, happens in at most 4-5 seconds, so as soon as it ends her own stun is back from CD, that means the very likely death of at least one more member of your team, since there’s no shield to protect them.
The problem isn’t she on her own, but what she enables at lower ranks, where people are less skilled overall, on those ranks the low effort, high reward comes in.
Granted it doesn’t happen every game, since some people try to follow the “meta” (wich I personally hate), but when it does happen, the team going against it is in for a bad time.
It might feel that way considering over half of the Overwatch population is low Platinum and below, where she is kind of in the same situation as Moira or old Symmetra, where she feels oppressive at lower ranks.
