Brigitte appreciation thread/ design origin

There is way too much hate on these forums towards Brigitte due to reasons people cant adapt to change, but that is not what this post is about. Feel free to list why you love Brigitte while i list off why I adore the design and execution of Brigitte.

She is clearly based on the D&D paladin, Paladins tend to be heavily armored, have tower shield, wield maces or flails, and be front line damage absorbers/damage dealers/healers, which Brigitte does all of, but now we will should talk about her abilities.

Shield bash and her whip are basically combat styles and can’t be directly tied to a paladin ability set, but are both fitting for a paladin.

Repair pack and her healing aoe most represents the Lay on Hands ability allowing the paladin to heal nearby allies using their holy power

Lastly, Rally represents the Aura of Protection and Aura of Courage, Rally protects allies and incentives them to be “courageous” and push an attack.

I love her just because she’s such a wholesome character, and she is a good pick in terrible team comps. (4dps)

I like that her kit allows for mid fight tactic changes. You can move from front line harass/heal to backline peel or from peel to mid line heal/zone. She is very versatile. I like char that can have several functions even if she isn’t the best at any one of them. Well except for back line peel. I would like to note as well cause of her low range she can only perform one of these tasks at a time so you still have to make good game descisions as to what will be the most effective according to comp and map.

I just really love the way she looks and how she plays (I especially love her shield bash, is there a fan of hers that doesn’t?). I also really can’t wait to get her Sol legendary skin, it’s now one of my favorite skins in the entire game. :smiley:
