And really Brigitte is a hero, who enables it’s players to position extremely poorly and get away with it due to the mechanics of the hero.

A dev’s interview specifically mentioned that Tracer players would feel a difference, not that tanks would end up to ping pong balls.

Nevertheless, tanks can stand against her but the gameplay is simply tedious, like a chore. Along the road it seems some people forgot that the game should be focused also in the player’s entertainment, not how specific heroes affect the esports scene.

Because honestly, she was created specifically for esports. OWL reached the point of ‘who has the best Tracer player’ and Blizzard put Brigitte as a band aid. Dive was hardly relevant in mid ranks and lower.

Now all of sudden, they focus on ‘balance’ to fix the choices they have made.

Reinhardt was not out of position. Brigitte was out of position, and somehow was not punished for being out of position.

Then again, stopping a potential team wide stun is worth going out of position and risking yourself being blown up by the enemy team.

How she goes out of position since her survivability allows her to be in the front lines in first place ?

A McCree with 200 HP and no barrier on his kit going in the front lines to stun a Reinhardt is ‘a hero risking his life and being out of position’, not Brigitte.

The fact that Brigitte can safely stun behind a shield is inherently unbalanced.

A guaranteed stun also. Nothing can counter it. Flashbang on the other hand is incosinstent.

Because her “survivability” only functions directly in front of her, and charging into the enemy team makes it easy to just bypass the barrier entirely. Not to mention with focus fire her barrier breaks in a moment which leaves her up crap creek without a paddle. Her self healing also does not factor in at all in that instance as 16 hp/s is worthless against that level of firepower (or just one person being consistent in landing shots).

500 HP is not ‘in a moment’, let’s be realistic. We are talking about 500 damage to be done and 50 armor to bypass along with her self healing from inspire is more than enough to give her room to retreat with 200 hp for the other healer to catch up.

Soldier 76 can just use a Helix Rocket and fire 20 rounds, which is 2.2 seconds, and the shield is down. By himself.

Now imagine if the other DPS was helping out with that, it would be down in 1 second flat.

Without the shield she cannot stun, which means your Reinhardt is safe to keep the barrier up to keep the DPS safe. Assuming Reinhardt did not just drop his shield and start swinging on the approaching Brigitte after throwing a firestrike at her. Which he will smash her really quickly as he does not give 2 cents about her armor. She may as well not have it at all. If he has his DPS pumping rounds into her as well then it would take Ana using her burst to save Brigitte from imploding in 1-2 seconds as inspire may as well not exist for how useless it is against any competent firepower.

This implies bad players are the ones complaining about Brig. That’s why I can’t take the threads/posts seriously after she got nerfed into negative winrate.
Actiblizz shouldn’t balance the game around bronze and console players.

Entire team grouped up moving as one. Brig, with her eyes closed, jumps in swinging her mace and hits everyone.

She punishes aggression. She is a backline enforcer meant to prevent her team from being dove in on. Her abilities however have the unfortunate side effect of giving her the ability to flank.

In high ranks you usually see brigs leaving their position to flank enemy lmao
