Brawly tanks brainstorming

Not really a polished post yet, just thinking a few mechanics out

Orisa

Primary Fire

  • 17% less damage than current (I.e. -2 on Damage)
  • 25% more headshot firepower than current (I.e. 3x headshot multiplier)

Fortify

  • 25% damage resistance
  • Can block earthshatter
  • 43% movement speed increase, but only to forward movement. (No movement penalty if attacking, mobility tool if not attacking)

Energy Blade (During Fortify)

  • Melee attacks use an energy blade attack that takes off 1/3rd of a players maximum health.
  • Successfully landing a blade cancels Fortify

Barrier

  • To the extent her barrier may need to be stronger
  • Lower the cooldown, instead of raising it’s HP

Sigma

Primary Fire

  • Can headshot with a 1.5x headshot multiplier

Kinetic Grasp

  • Blocked damage does not heal him
  • Instead adds a damage multiplier to his Accretion and Primary Fire proportional to the damage absorbed

Orisa shouldn’t be a brawly tank

If we are making Orisa more brawly then I would change her into a fast mecha centaur with a personal barrier that moves with her. I would also give her the blazing blade from the Reinhardt cinematic and have it do extra damage to armor. Then I would change fortify to only protect the front half so there is some counter play for those that get behind her. I would also increase her fire rate significantly but make is erratic enough that she would need to shoot in bursts to be accurate.

Honestly though if most tanks become brawlers then I would want 1 truly defensive bunker tanks with a strong shield and I think Orisa fits that idea.

Yeah, lemme think about the control scheme on that.
