zen haters need to stop wanting a ez game with massive amounts of heals and use the little brain cells they have left, and try to use the discords. and learn how to peel. these new heros really dumbed down the gameplay to where if you pick zen you automaticly “throw” the game. im tired of these low IQ players boosted by moria and brig

I agree… the week Moira and Ana were banned (and the 1-3-2 experimental mode) proved just how little people knew about pealing and taking cover/playing smart.
But aside from that, I don’t think that is Zen’s only problem right now. Zen pairs best with Bap or Mercy for supports (evident by the Mercy-Zen comps of the old days, and Bap-Zen of the double shield meta)… I also think hes alright with Brig. But neither Bap/Mercy are considered viable right now (and Brig is banned). Most people would prefer a lucio for off heals rn for speedboost (to help Rein) & because he pairs best with Ana/Moira (or they might just prefer another main healer instead).
Doesn’t help that dmg is so high nowadays that most times, people get killed through trans and he loses some value in a place where lucio doesn’t.
Nobody is brain dead, the game design is brain dead.
A game that doesn’t explain its rules and that constantly puts out new heroes that defy logic and common sense, that’s overratedwatch.
I’m a tank player and I understand 100% I have try to adjust my game playing with Zen.However the main issue is not the amount of heals or cover the problem is how much he dies and gets target by the other team alot and it forces you to babysitting him which just creates more issues.
Honestly i dont think its zen himself or brain dead anyone…but its the fact that: why play heros that make the game harder to win when you can play the easy heros and win more with less effert.

As a zen player myself, what drives me nuts the past few days is having gold elims,damage, and HEALS with a moira, mercy or ana.
Dps run a hanzo, cree and i got golds regardless of amount. Somethin has been way off since the latest update.
People are not in the correct ranks at all.

I experience the same struggles as mercy.
I say just leave them to die and don’t bother. Its wasted effort to heal a DPS who either keep jumping into the enemy making it 1V6, or sit there running in a straight line at a mccree/reaper/hog/orisa and just take the damage because they think you should heal them and no one else. Mute them, finish the game soon as possible, and move into another game, no need to avoid since their que times makes sure you wont get them again. Eventually they’ll learn to be grateful for any healing they’re getting and work with them instead of against.

i tell my bf the same when he queues with me as all roles. he gets stressed as a sup when he can’t heal those idiots. I simply told him to let them die (instead if himself getting in the crossfire for them) and learn by failing. sometimes your chances of winning rise rapidly, once you stop healing dead weight.
Gold heals as Zen is possible if you make liberal use of Trance.
One or two good trances will basically triple your healing stats.
what you are saying makes sense in scrims but in ladder playing zen vs moira ana is very often just plain throwing because enemy team gets free value for very little and it’s very difficult to outplay that as zen
if your team is consistently tilting because you are going zen and leaving the team with low healing while enemy team bathes in healing -> they are right, ana + moira is utterly broken and if you don’t at least play 1 of them + lucio you likely lose
And that’s the problem, both of those heroes should be restricted from play somehow

Discord orb is a lot stronger than people realize. You can’t outheal the burst damage of say a mcree double tapping a body shot on a purple enemy. That being said I’ve noticed in my climbing of the ladder A LOT of people are legit avoiding shooting the purple enemy: I blame zarya.
