For those that dont know, all the widows out there tapping duck then headshot, then descope are botting. This is a common widow toggle hack, make sure you report.

Ooooor, there are actually hacks out there for Overwatch and we should all keep our eyes open for suspicious activity. I only report for blatant cheating, and I’ve gotten about a dozen notifications of action taken for reporting this season. It’s up to the legitimate players to keep the cheaters out of Overwatch.

Seriously it’s pretty silly. If you are widow duelling the first thing you are going to do is change location since the widow you just killed knows where you are.

op needs to stop spreading nonsense like this. just cuz you got wrecked doesnt mean the player was cheating.
but seriously… the reason for dropping scope is to return to normal movement speed, even just for a moment. duck/crouch is of course to avoid a shot in the face but you can only move so much while scoped in, its slow. so at some point you have to drop scope and move around at standard speed to reset that back and forth oscillation which is a game youll often lose. on the 2nd or 3rd shot the enemy widow will always get you since the distance youre moving back and forth is a pretty known quantity.
When I play Widowmaker I crouch a lot when trying to shoot another Widowmaker. I don’t do it because I’m hacking, I do it to avoid the other player’s shots.

The annoying part is that most people that cheat aren’t blatant cheaters. The kind of cheats today are pretty subtle.

You realize this is the most common tactic to avoid being headshot yourself, right?
It’s literally the exact thing to do in CS:GO, and even back in Quake/UT days.

Not a single widow pro is ducking every time they shoot then descoping instantly, rinse repeat or just ducking and shooting. There are enough videos around of people getting caught doing this. If you watch any widow pro they do duck now and again but not every single shot and only when they are firing.

Ugh unfortunately. And most people cant tell the difference, they arent " Human" but they apparently fool enough, like bad CG in a Marvel movie.

By “pro” you mean the Overwatch League?
You realize that professional players usually run Widow on attack, and the only hero that could possibly outsnipe her is McCree, which is only run in 15% of matches?
They don’t crouch because they don’t have to worry about being counter-sniped.
edit - Meanwhile, everyone in QP, custom games, and even in Comp, do have to worry about it, because Widow is run all the time because people think OWL presence = meta…

I practice duck headshots in the practice range though.
I do it where I aim slightly above the head and then I duck and headshot and then I practice where I duck and offset my aim upwards and headshot…
Check out kephrii’s video “is the enemy widow aimbotting” Kephrii is rarely ducking, and he certainly isnt ducking the moment he shoots. You wont find any major streamers either or semi pro players duck shooting at all. But im talking plat here, so these people tend to be brand new accounts mostly and move like idiots or have zero awareness.
Kephrii’s word is not the end-all-be-all discussion, and crouching to duck incoming fire is a very natural and habitual thing to do while sniping.
I literally do this all the time without even thinking about it. It becomes muscle memory.
Stop trying to push this. It’s wrong.

mccree suffers worse falloff dmg than soldier does… a soldier is generally better at killing a widow than mccree is. both can do it fine, yes. a soldier can generally burst better, rockets+headshots, if you land it the widow dies before your weapon spread even kicks in.
crouching has nothing to do with bots or hacking or whatever. OP needs to pull his head out of his asss
