Bots in Matches

So, with how low the player counts have gotten, has Blizzard begun tossing in Bots here and there to pad out the matches? The way some of these players move seem very similar to how the bots move in the Ai matches.

I would believe it with the quality of the matchmaking/matches in general this season. 10 minute queues in Quick Play and almost always a support that does 1.5k healing over the entire round. I’ve never felt like the matchmaking was great in this game but it feels worse than ever right now. I’m considering taking a break at this point because getting steam rolled every match is getting a little demoralizing (not to mention people start talking crap half the time anyways.)

Given the amount of players actually in games (from the steam stats) it is VERY unlikely they would have bots.

For one, you wouldn’t have queue time issues if you were using them.

I’ve seen a few players that were appearing to be bots. But those arent blizzard’s bots. Those are bots similar to “H.B.”. , I recognize the behavior since it was so widely used in Eye of the Storm, in WoW.

As for people with chat off, and just running in and attacking and being deleted. Thats called a fallout from the stupid leaver penalties. A person that is acting like an NPC. They lost their soul many matches ago, ( probably from a stupid steam roll match caused by a stacker group of smurffs or some rage-hacker cheater playing on their 200th alt account)

So they are just pew-pew fragging to get to the next match because their subconscious mind has abandoned all hope until an “ideal” match presents itself.

So rather than they just leave and find a new match. They’d rather not take the penalty, and go into “auto pilot mode” which is sub-par, care-free gameplay.

Bottom line. Cant have your cake and eat it too.

That’s exactly what a bot would say.
