Bots for Comp leavers?

Would it be a good idea for blizz to put in bots as a replacement for leavers? Bots would be on like a medium difficulty, hard maybe. And the bot would fill in the role the leaver was playing. I.E. A support player leaves/disconnects and the bot would fill that role playing either the hero the person was playing, or a different healer. Have fun discussing!

It doesn’t sound like a bad idea, but I feel they would only be feeders to the enemy team. Bots are okay for practicing, but for comp, it’d be preferable to have an individual mind manning the hero.

i agree, but i feel like having that extra source of healing or damage could be a game changer in a 5v6 team fight. and i feel as if it wouldn’t cause the other players to leave, and make it feel hopeless.

Diff. should be based depends of rank lvl. They shouldnt stack enemy ult at normal rate.

But I have better idea. Which would fix backfill problem also.

What if “backfilling” was an customizable option ? You now can choose if you want to backfill in normal and comp games. In normal games you will get extra %xp for filling (more than current non existent bonus). In comp games you wont lose as much SR (if defeat, 50% of normal -SR) and you will gain sligh higter SR (if won, +20% SR). That way some peoples would like to fill into comp games also. It’s win win situation.

That is a good idea. Although i feel like the loss of SR in a comp match would be a bad thing. So like, if i were to backfill in a game where the enemy team is practically near the end of pushing a cart, and i join just as they push it to win, i would still lose sr for doing nothing except wanting to help. Ya know? Its a really good idea, but it would need to have some rules to it

I play For Honor and they always replace players who Quit/DC with Bots. Its better if replaced by Hard Level Bots. Maybe even The Bots will play better than the players… LOL

Hopefully more people will support this idea.

Thats why it’s and option. There is a risk in backfill, but also a reward. Notice that most of the time leavers happens in early/mid game.

I’d say its better to have an artificial mind filling the empty slot than be a 5v6.

No, it would not be a good idea to have bots.

All Blizzard need to do is add backfill - which already exists in other modes - to competitive.

This has been discussed in other threads already, too.

So fill a lopsided match and lose 12-15 sr? Sure some people will go for it but i wouldn’t waste my time knowing you could be joining a match impossible to win

I think that it would be a good idea but only for low tiers. And that would just be feeding ults.

And how do you get the bots to work with the team?

All the bots would be are ult charge for the enemy team.

As I said, not a good idea to have bots.

Backfill is the only answer to fix the problem of leavers in competitive.

if there is a leaver in one your games, there is a 6 out of 11 chance that the leaver will be on the enemy team, i would take those odds. It would be nice if blizzard had a stat to confirm standard deviation from the bell curve.
