Bob... Getting stomped.. Always

I remember knowing when to send bob out was simply a matter of de-meching a dva or breaking a rein shield and / or forcing the beat. Out goes bob and no one would engage him. You met the conditions for him to be effective and he crushed tanks and all. With tanks having so much bulk bob just gets deleted in ow2. If there is any tank alive besides baby dva - bob just gets hooked and beat down immediately. Sigma just sucks his bullets, he dies. Junkerqueen shouts and puts a few bullets in his head and he dies. rein charges him off ghe map or far away or into a wall where he dies 1 second later. He can no longer hold points. The only way to use bob ive seen is throw him out on cd or throw him out after the tank dies to clean up a fight. While effective it feels like a waste to use an ult to clean up a fight you prolly already won anyways.

Tanks are just too strong vs bob with the tools, dmg, and hp/armor theyve been given. Tanks are way too strong anyways but this is just one of the reasons. That or bob is too weak. Either way bob needs some help right now.

ive been noticing this as well. i dont play ashe much anymore but when the enemy ashe throws bob out im not as scared as i use to be. he gets deleted so fast nowadays. not that it works sometimes. seems like ashe has to be way more conscience of when to throw him out which might be a good thing tho

as sombra i hack bob if possible. wonder if he is hacked its still a pernament whole duration thing. if i do manage to get hack off bob is pretty much a goner heh

One of the worst DPS Ults in OW2.

If the enemy tank is allowed to dedicate themselves to fending off your ultimate then you’re timing it wrong. There’s considerably less damage mitigation in OW2 with just one tank. Try to time it when the enemy has fewer resources to defend it, or when using those resources would cost them the team fight.

its probably best to use it as a solo ult or if you’re split off from your team against 2 people instead of throwing it when everyone is alive heh

Personally, I think bob isn’t a horrible ult. It’s good when used at the right time. Either right after you kill the enemy teams tank, or if the enemy teams tank is just way out of position.

Put the bob in the backline to kill squishies. Though ana is a good counter to this strategy

Bastion would like to challenge this…

Hell, I think Bob can be a lot better than Junkrat’s.

Just Nano Bob or have Ana heal him. he can do if in the open and didn’t run off to some corner.

I usually play Ana with Ashe. Nano on a Bob in the middle of the point actual does something lol.

That being said, I notice A LOT of Ashe players SUCK at positioning their damn BOB. They never factor in his run properly and he’ll either go wayyyyy out of range or get himself tucked away in a small room. They toss him out like a turret panic button when he’s literally a whole ult that can contest the point.

Ashe doesn’t need a buff. I feel like you can throw away most DPS ult to secure a kill and it doesn’t matter much. So Bob is fine.

I literally described the conditions myself and anyone else has to use bob. Also tanks are the last thing you kill in ow2 so where is your point?

My point was if you throw bob out after an enemy tank somehow dies you are just using him to win a fight you already won. You dont need an ult for a clean up.

Did anyone actually read the post? Stop responding to titles.

QQ ashe is strong anyway

You know, I’ve always felt like this about bob. I remember making a post a while ago saying ā€œbob just gets BTFO’d when I throw himā€, and saying that I dislike that about him.

At the time, it was due to how easy it was to displace him and such. I think they should buff him to make his AI better. He’ll move around, push up and fall back a bit to make sure he stays alive while he does his job.

Really, Bob should feel like another party member instead of a turret. I feel so bad for him that, when I’m a support, I’ll pocket him while he’s out.

I dont know, i dont have any problems racking up kills with Bob. I usually get 2-4 kills with him
But I play him very aggressively. I usually charge in, throw everything i have into their backline, dynamite, onloading may bullets on them and then throw him out, bumping them when possible.
In the fist 2-3 seconds he kills one or two. It can sometimes get me killed myself but i find put that it is usually enough to win the fight anyway if my team have half a brain

they buffed all tanks and forgot about bob, instead of being a stationary target once hes deployed, he should keep running into the enemies to cc dem up in the air, that would be a more scary version of bob, and less useless.

It’s depressing watching a reaper gettin into bobs face soaking all damage and deleting him

Bob is easily one of the best ultimates that easily turns the fight into a 6v5, the guy literally contest points which puts pressure in games where you guys cant get past the first choke. If you guys send a bob to the point to contest and your team doesn’t take advantage of that moment then thats a team issue. Bob will either kill 3-4 players or will stall long enough to give your team room to get picks while the enemies turn their backs on you.

Bob is basically a disposable tank. You throw him in and the enemy are forced to deal with him or LOS him. Either way you can take advantage of that and move in.

Then you’re either expecting too much from a Q press or not using it properly. I don’t know what to tell you. B.O.B. is one of the best DPS ults in the game.

…conversly, a well-placed BoB when a tank is eliminated/not near the squishies is bad-news for said squishies…
