As title, error code while i attempt to update overwatch.

UPDATE (After clean bnet cache):
Wtf? Bnet removed automatically OW1 and OW2 beta installation from registry?

Try a separate admin account on Windows, or an alternative connection. The Overwatch 2 Beta ended a bit ago anyway, so it’s not available on Bnet any longer.

yo , i got the same problem with my ow 1 , i want update ow 1 , i got the error code BLZBNTAGT00000BC1 , need to see if more people got the same error

the only solution is to switch the language to English… Other languages are causing the problem.

Ola!

Me and my friend have the same problem in RU region. :grimacing:

I already updated my GTX driver (as described in support article) but it did not help.

Can you suggest what else to try? :slight_smile: Problem with retail Owerwatch (1).

It works. After I switch my language, it allows me to update.

I am too getting this error while trying to update OW… Tried to switch language to English (game and launcher) with no success.

Try to change your game/billzard app language to English, and update. It worked for me. You should be able to change it back afterward.

Still displayed on dropdrop. Main problem is OW1, and its only admin account. Problem is BNet related, not our computer.

BNet is spamming requesting for an download launcher update. Where there’s no update…

Its time to blizz delete this horrible launcher and publish in another place.

Why are other languages causing the issue…?
Hopefully fixed soon.

You can try launch manually from C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwatch\_retail_\Overwatch.exe just you need remember your email + password.

For me same problem, i was forced to launch from commandline.

It helped me, but with 3 times. I changed the language in the game and the application.

This worked for me:

  1. Changed game and launcher language to English
  2. Closed all Blizzard/Batttle.net processes
  3. Deleted Battle.net and Blizzard Entertainment folders from C:\ProgramData\
  4. Open OW again

I did same steps, except that BNet is forcing me redownload entire game again. And i will not do this.

Untill they fix we can manually open C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwatch\_retail_\Overwatch.exe input login and password, and play.

This worked for me:

  1. Changed PC language to English
  2. Restart
  3. launch bnet

Hey there, sorry for the problem. We pushed a small build update that unfortunately had an issue, and we’ve reverted back to the older build for now. Updating should work correctly for everyone now.
