At the risk of throwing the accusation around willy nilly and accusing someone that genuinely believes what they’re saying, I am going to have to come out and say it; this feels very much like bait. It’s a controversial issue using an emotional argument that was clearly going to get a lot of both positive and negative attention, plus looking through your post history shows that you post very infrequently, but when you do it’s always on a political topic.

The statutes are spreading a false history. And are not teaching valuable lessons. Museums and schools can provide education about history in a far better way. Most of the people defending these statues don’t even know why they were built or by whom, which was by white supremacists long after the Confederacy was over to glorify their causes and intimidate black people. They think it just means Southern pride.
Statutes whose purpose is to ensure people won’t learn from history should not be defended with this quote.
The purpose of statues is not to tell the past, but to mythologize it. It’s the reason that those statues were erected in the first place.

Really… you will have to explain to me how a statue spreads history. It is symbolic of an actual event in history, all of which these leftists want to make part of their idiotic cancel culture.

It’s why the Lost Cause organizations started erecting these monuments. It’s why George Washington is so frequently depicted as a sage of Antiquity. It’s why we have Teddy Roosevelt riding ahead of a downcast Native American and African American. It serves to promote a myth of yesteryear – one that never existed.
This is getting way too far now. Player being racist and toxic? Just report them and get them banned. Skin does no harm.
