Thanks to COVID-19, BlizzCon 2020 will no longer exist. Now I’m worried about Overwatch 2.
Oh well.
Jeff always said that they love to surprise the community. My guess is we’ll be fine, even if they share absolutely nothing Overwatch related until 2021 blizzcon
They did say they are going to try to do online stuff.
Or did you not read it?
going to try
What if they don’t?
Whole lot of spectulating.
I think it’s safe to assume that OW2 isn’t going to be coming out until next year. I’m hoping early 2021 but it’s probably gonna be middle/late.
Even if it didn’t, would be kinda weird if they didn’t throw together a new trailer about it.
Maybe some info and stats.
Expected release dates.
I literally laughed out loud when I read this post.

I mean, we know the games coming out. Why does trailers/info etc matter, just watch/read a few reviews once it’s launched and make your decision on that. You’re clearly already interested in the game, so no need to advertise it any more than it has.

Glad u did, I’m a true comedian.
now thats a funny joke
OW2 is coming, just not this year (Which frankly, I’ll have some massive doubt if it does come out this year.).
They have plans to make announcements at several third party events. Whether said announcements will be OW2 related remains to be seen though.

Question is, where and when?
Blizzard have to say at least something about OW2 this year. My best bet is that they will release another trailer at the end of this year but with blizzcon cancelled, I don’t expect too much about the game.
Blizzard are confirmed to be taking part in IGN’s “Summer of Gaming” event, where they are going to talk about something but it’s unlikely going to be OW2 related
It was… honestly expected that Blizzcon would be cancelled due to Covid. Not too surprising.
But it probably means no new cinematic. The hopes of getting zenyatta cinematic crumble.
I called this like 3 weeks ago. There is no way Blizzard would actually go ahead and hold Blizzcon against the wishes of the new liberal talking point.
With BlizzCon being canceled, IGN’s Summer of Gaming maybe a possibility of their replacement for their Blizzard-Related news.
Overwatch 2 is still in production. There will be content revealed sometime later most likely in their virtual event they hope to run in early 2021.
So Overwatch 2 is by no means dead as the original post implies.
