Blizzard's Patch Notes are Something Else

You really gotta respect Blizzard’s dedication to never making any meaningful or unique changes. Every Overwatch path is literally number changes. If your “patch” can be made in 10 minutes by a teenager that’s good with workshop coding, then maybe you should put a little more work into it. Here’s to another round of Blizzard slightly changing characters number values. What great development lol.

Those are leaks, we should wait and see the real ones.

Of course of course. I don’t mind waiting. Since Blizzard has never made me wait before. It’s the least I can do.

Well also shouldn’t judge the patch notes when do they do come because the game is in early access

Why shouldn’t we though
If the game balance sucks, it sucks, we should tell’em

The weird thing is that these patch notes are blizzard style aka Idiotic

Well we shouldn’t judge the patch notes because they are still working on the game. Obviously. Don’t criticize OW1 because they are working on a sequel. But also don’t criticize Beta 1 since it’s a beta. Or Beta 2. Or the early access. Just keep waiting for the full game to come out. It’s scheduled for, lets see, oh that’s right. Never. So never criticize anything Blizzard does because they are trying really hard and don’t owe us anything guys.

Meh, I didn’t think the patch notes were bad. Could’ve used a few other things, but it’s already a lot to change at once.

Edit: the leak might not even be real.

We have a lot worse patch notes over the time. These seem to alt least try to address problems like Dva, Orisa, JQ, Reaper and so on. IF they are true.

The games not out yet, we should reserve judgement for the release

Hard disagree, they’re looking for feedback, we should give them one
Also early access is the same excuse fortnite used to not release save the world yet, ow2 is an early access because of the PvE not coming out as they promised, they’re just pushing the PvP to have an active playerbase and to restart making revenue

I’m pretty positive blizzard team is nothing but interns

What if I told you there are games out there that get real changes when patch notes come out. Like actual ability changes and different interactions. What if I told you that normally patch notes aren’t increasing or decreasing numbers, but aim to change the game and give you something new to experience. I know you wouldn’t believe me because every person on the forums has severe Stockholm Syndrome. But it’s true. The devs have the ability to actually change the game. I know I know, this sounds like a myth. Like bigfoot or aliens. But it’s true. The devs can do pretty much anything with the game. And maybe, just maybe, we shouldn’t accept numerical changes as an okay patch. Especially for the big bad sequel we are getting.

I think number changes are fine, i just don’t see the point of some of the number changes though
Like orisa is getting massive buffs for her extremely low performance as a tank, and those are extremely good number changes, meanwhile sombra gets something that doesn’t even fix her problem lmao

I mean with the arrival of the 3 new heroes and a bunch of reworks do we really want wacky left field hero changes?

Lets see how the game plays on launch and then we can start tweaking things.

  1. We have seen how the game plays. The pros play on OW2. I know they are pros, but it’s not like we don’t know what the game plays like. We do.

  2. Yes I want wacky left field hero changes (Although they could just make big changes that are measured and, you know, test what they do) But even if the changes are wacky, it would be refreshing at least. Let’s not pretend there is a ton of competitive integrity within the game. Random changes would at least be enjoyable and fun. Especially when the big launch is coming up and we want new players to actually feel like the game is different and not the same stuff they played 4 years ago.

Nah. We can get whacky changes after all the newly released hero nerfs come through.

The point of my post is that Blizzard never does “wacky” changes. Blizzard doesn’t even do regular changes. Numerical adjustments are not patch note worthy. OW fans have been beaten down like dogs into believing number changes can be a real patch. It’s not.

I respect your opinion, I just don’t want balance changes like that. Not gonna go back and forth because I think your entitled to have that opinion. It’s not wrong, I just want different things from the game.

We don’t have to go back and forth. But what do you mean “changes like that”. I didn’t give any examples. Just think that maybe we should expect more from the billion dollar triple A game company than “Baptiste’s damage has been increased from 24 to 25”
