Factually, Mercy does not stun herself
No point in reworking a perfectly balanced hero. Can we accept that it’s okay for some heroes to be low-risk = low-reward? A hero’s amount of “engaging-ness”, “impactful-ness” and “fun-ness” is subjective… And it’s unrealistic for “everyone” to find one character fun. No matter what, a hero will be found as being unfun to some.

they are convinced that “fun” is the only reason mass rez was removed. Like, they genuinely believe that the devs just listened to seagull saying “mass res is not fun” and instantly reworked her.
So to the “fun” is a valid argument and if you find mercy fun they’ll flag you for trolling.

Overall I agree that Mercy needs tweaks badly, but I don’t think Mass Res is coming back even if Blizz was willing to balance and fix it (which I don’t suppose they are either). I don’t believe it’s part of their idea for the game anymore.
Like the changes to Valk, albeit it could probably just stay as an ultimate still.
as of Blizzcon both Kaplan and Goodman said that “no hero is planned for a rework, not even bastion” that “we are happy with mercy current state with the valk fixes” and “if we’re gonna rework a hero, the next one is bastion”.
They also said that they didn’t like mass rez.
The numbers as well say that she’s fine right now, she’s just out of meta.
So i doubt they’ll rework a hero that they just finished balancing and that literally everything they do to will cause massive uproar. I wouldn’t touch that with a 10 ft pole.

Mercy just needs a new E that she can actually use with valkyrie.
I was being facetious. The “self-stun” is normally used by Mercy players to complain about the cast time associated with current rez.

I’m not sure I follow what you mean about casting it before they die. Care to explain? My thought is that this would only happen after the team mate has been killed.

Being subjective doesn’t mean it can’t be enhanced, improved or deteriorated. It’s not an excuse for poor design and an Ultimate that lacks room for players expression, regardless of how overpowered or underpowered it might be.
