game performance going worse with every patch. optimisation was great at launch but i can even play anymore. those fps drops are so annoying. i just want stable 60 fps but it drops to 40 from 70(display based lock. i can get more than 70 fps) most of the time. my drivers are up to date. no overheating. no background apps. im %100 sure its optimisation problem.

I am doing just fine btw. I can go all the way up to unlimited FPS and not drop a single frame
There are some exceptions, naturally. In my personal experience 5/6 of my friends have experienced the same issues as myself. (Limited sample size, I know.) Not everyone has a PC that can go up to unlimited.

well you are lucky then. there is too much players have that problem. i saw them on reddit too.
Thank god Im not the only one. Ive been on reddit, and everyone else there has had simliar problems as well.
My computer is potato, but in 2016, I was still able to run it VERY smoothly by adjusting a lot of settings. Heck, its the lowest setting right now.
But, at the start of this year, Its gotten worse, I used to be able to have discord in the background but now it just freezes and crashes, the game FPS drops randomly and I cant play it as smoothly as before. Keep in mind, my potato may be comp, but I clean and defrag my comp to run things smoothly once a week and this never happened in 2016.

I still dunno why the scoreboard started capping my fps to 60.

the issues really started to happen 3 ptr patches ago when we ptr tested symm and LFG systems. something wonky in the build happened.

The game always runs bad on console. They would need to optimize a lot in that case.

ha! my fps drops to 30 when i check scoreboard. something is wrong with it without a doubt.
Actually went on PTR for the sake of checking what it drops to and seems they’ve fixed it.
…Still a thing on live tho !
I agree. My laptop isn’t even a year old. I feel like if they do one more graphics change I won’t even be able to play

I was told by an expert, high tier player that does Some pretty l33t stuff with this game for streaming. That it requires a MINIMUM of 6 cores to play now. The OW team never announced their game changed it’s requirement listing. The person showed me in a demonstration. That this game no longer can play well with just 4 cores. It didn’t matter if you had a 1050 or up to the 1080. This game is core reliant now.
I too, was having this problem and picked everyone’s brain for a solution on this, and finally was shown what the deal is.
