Blizzard trying too hard: The issue with the hated hitscans

This is not really a new problem. Soujorn mythic skin is yet another proof that Blizzard is trying so very hard to cater to the tryhard population that will play anything that is easy and META without understanding that a very small minority likes the hero because she has nothing going on about her besides the fact she’s better Soldier:76 and has been overpowered for a while now.

They just want to tap into this market they really couldn’t, and they are about to find out that tryhards don’t care about skins, they care about winning. Either way, this is the last thing they could try, after all they need to increase revenue by all means possible.

Do not expect her to be messed with in the next few patches. In fact, it would not be delusional to expect her to be buffed. Expect them do the most random unthinkable balancing decisions just to keep her and Freja out of the ban list. It will take a very huge while for them to understand the META is stale, boring and the same for several seasons now, if they understand it at all, and that having busted hitscan heroes in the game is only going to drive away anyone that is not a META slave.

Never forget: Freja and Soujorn have no mains and if they are ever nerfed to the level of the other heroes nobody would even think about playing them.

Freja at least has a very fun kit, unlike Sojourn.

The only reason I hate playing Freja is because she’s overpowered. I would play her more if she wasn’t.

On the other hand, Soj is overpowered and boring. I never liked playing her. Her gameplay loop is simply boring.

turns out “press M1 until it’s time to press M2, unless someone decides to do something about it, then you press Shift” is not one of the most engaging gameplay loops out there

They already had theirs with Widow. It’s where they started. They even nerfed Sombra when they released her mythic. They know that kind of player will drop the hero as soon as they can’t farm the entire lobby freely anymore.
