Blizzard should work on the Overwatch Text-Chat

It’s time again. I’ll turn my chat off. I don’t know if ppl getting banned bcs they’re sending like the worst messages in text chat, but Blizz needs to work on that. Disabling the Chat is no proper solution to be honest.

And I’m sure you know what messages I mean.
“ggez” gets filtered and to be honest…people using much harsher words than that.
Some Words, even if some letters getting replaced with signs, starts or numbers, it should be recognized directly while they’re typing, so they can’t send it into chat.

People getting even more toxic…day by day. I don’t know what happened the last years. But the Chat is in the worst state right now. Something needs to happen.

Can’t we just play the game in peace and harmony? I mean…we’re all the same. We’re Gamers and we’re humans.

Overwatch is to blame.
They made it so the real toxic part of the community “like a really small part that thinks they are the ambassadors of humanity.” can mass report other players for playing better, saying something like “can you change please?” gets you banned now.
Overwatch enables these players to do what they want and go unpunished while everyone else ends up banned or suspended.
Even i am afraid of replying to posts here because of this. Blizzard created this anti social environment.

No, they could be saying things like gg. But everyone knows the system is 100% automated so you simply report for abusive chat and boom a player is punished.

Crazy that you can type the worst racial slurs and players with the profanity filter set to mature will see them. Literally can type the hard R and it somehow isn’t an insta-ban. Requires the player to do such a thing over many matches to get enough reports to get actioned by the automated system.

Then on the other end of the spectrum you have the snowflakes reporting people for telling them their pick isn’t working or asking for a swap.

Nothing good happens in the match chat anyway. For every occasional commending a nice shot, there’s a bunch of worthless trash. Goofy weirdos trying to be funny like allchat is their personal comedy show, weird edgy virgins, raging scumbags who take their team issues to allchat… Better to keep it off. Putting any messages in there makes you more of a target for false reporting because it makes you more visible and how easy it is to right-click report.

The chat is not the problem. The problem is that blizz considers anything and everything toxic if one says it is, and the system will action you for it. This enables false report galore from the pansy section of the player base that literally can’t even with a “ggez”, and the malicious section of the player base that will seek to weaponize the sensitive report system to harm other players.

Delete chat or remove the automated ban system entirely. Imagine punishing your fps players for being fps players, all because you want to project a delusional narrative of “This is Overwatch we work hard to combat toxicity.”
