I’ve been playing Overwatch for a long time, and it’s honestly a game I really enjoy. I keep coming back to it because I love the gameplay and the team aspect, and I want to keep playing for a long time. That’s why this situation has been so frustrating for me.
For multiple seasons now, I’ve been getting disconnected in the middle of matches. It will suddenly kick me out to the main menu, and after that I am not able to get back into the game. It feels like the server just doesn’t let me reconnect or log back in properly, even though I am trying to rejoin as fast as possible.
Because of this, the system treats it like I left on purpose. That has led to penalties and eventually bans for entire seasons. This has happened more than once, and it’s really discouraging to deal with when I am just trying to play normally.
I understand why penalties exist and I agree that people who leave games on purpose should be punished. But in cases like this, where the game disconnects you and then does not allow you to rejoin, it feels unfair to be treated the same way.
I really enjoy this game and want to keep playing, but it is hard to stay motivated when something like this keeps happening and affecting my account. I am hoping this can get some attention, because it would make a big difference if there was a way for the system to better recognize when a disconnect is not the player’s fault.
If anyone else has been dealing with this, I would honestly like to know, or if there are any fixes or workarounds that have helped.

I would also like to clarify, I play mutiple other games in which I face zero connectivity issues. It is only Overwatch, specifically competitive recently where I get DC’d randomly.
