Blizzard please add Role Queue back to MH

Its just TERRIBLE going back to Open Queue :rage: after you made the brilliant thing and added Role Queue last season.!!

Last season MH got the lift/update it really needed to be fresh and fun again. With the Role Queue you “almost” had fun and exciting games every match. MH was dying, but by a whiff it got interesting again :grinning:

Nowdays I just shudder thinking of the one and only MH game I played this season → I played vs : Winston/Orisa/Mauga/Bastion/Ana … :face_vomiting: :confounded:
After that horrible experience I never click on the Box furthest to the right in unranked again.

Okay, Boomer.

In all seriousness, if you aren’t playing Mystery Heroes for the Mystery, it’s a real Mystery why you care about Mystery Heroes.

Given that the whole appeal of mystery heroes is being assigned random heroes, I dont see any value in making the hero assignments less random

OQ MH >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RQ MH

having said that…they shouldnt have moved the latter to the arcade

I actually agree with bringing back RQ MH. It was my favorite mode. I am sad that it’s gone.

Idk the way I see it, why would you want limitations in a mode called mystery heroes

Chill choom, no blizzard here

Technically, I agree with this on paper, but when they did that short run of RQMH, it just felt better. I was an avid MH fan before the switch to OW2, but after the switch to 5v5 and Open Queue balancing, MH just stopped being fun for me and I stopped queueing for it altogether. When they did that switch to RQ, it brought enjoyment back to the mode for me and I hit it hard last season. I even thought of going for the Shapeshifter title, but haven’t touched it once after the switch back.

You know how they reverted the MH role changes? It was most likely because there was a drop off in engagement when they tried to force it on everyone.
Sorry it worked on you, but the better one is back now.

I just did not understand the appeal of RQMH. It basically felt like normal quick play to me - complete with whiny players and sweaty try hards. Took all the mystery, randomness and chaos out of the mode.

I wouldn’t begrudge it still being in the game if it didn’t detract from proper MH… but I suspect it does.

Yeah, I liked RQ MH. I know it takes some of the mystery out of it, but it still was random within a given role!

There is such thing as too much rng though.

Disagree. RQ MH is probably the worst mode they ever thought of.

I severely disliked RQ MH. All it did was make sure you had a small chance to play a character even if your first selection was taken by someone else. Just go to QP role queue and wait for another round if your first choice was taken.

The only options of queue system I’d like to try in MH is: the RNG only allowing 3 of any role at once and NO duplicate heroes. I like the chaos but it gets out of hand when a bunch of Hogs or Moiras are on one team.

I think the concept has promise and is simple. Your team has 3 tanks you die, it gives you support or damage. One tank dies, the RNG can freely give any of the 3 roles to the next spawner. Your teams has a DVA and you draw tank, you are any tank other than DVA. The DVA dies, the next spawner has the RNG ability to be DVA.

And make tank HP changes % based, not just a everyone loses the same amount from their total. The difference between Hog and Junker Queen HP is bad. I mean reaper is near JQs HP in MH.

*Yes I know I have posted this ruleset before.

kinda defeats the purpose of “mystery” in “mystery heroes” if you cant play half or 3/4 of the roster
