Are they losing money right now? Why no east coast server? Chi is not east coast, thinking about quitting.

Is that the reason? Does anyone know? I did a google search. I would like to know why I had 40 ping and now 60 is my lowest on a good day. Also I heard they had to switch servers for overwatch league and they didnt have a server that the team could ping good to so they played on a west coast server.

Duuuuude is that why my ping is now 80? It was 35 at launch
They will fire 135 employees in france, and those employees give em 1,8 million €€. No they are not loosing money. They win al the time and thats how they pay it. Firing.

yup me too, i had about 30-40 ping when i first started playing. I moved 2 miles down the road and always thought it was just that. Then I started looking around and they removed the east server, leaving anyone in Florida to fend for themselves.
They play on their own server
Overwatch League is on LAN. It barely costs them anything comparatively. It only needs to support 12 players plus spectator cameras and it’s all wired locally, so they get 0 ms of ping. The servers used for the live game need to handle tens of thousands concurrently. They take up an entire building and need to be well-maintained for 24/7 use.
Well, at least Chicago server is still there lol.
