I know i know this topic has been talked a lot here, everyone is tired of it, even i already made a post but i cant stop thinking about it
from all the scummy things blizzard has done, lie to us, not listening feedback, cancelled pve, killing the game core mechanics, 5vs5, paywalled heroes, $40 skins, lame events, etc. the thing that baffles me more is that you cant buy golden weapons anymore, all the things i mentioned are “understandable” why happened, blizzard wants more money doing less work possible and developers are incompetente and lazy, but why the hell lock golden weapons? thats pure evil, but not even being real evil, is just being spiteful and very petty with the players, like they think we already have a lot of benefits, is like the bully on school that takes your pencil because… just to be mean, having golden weapons avalible to buy anytime, whats the problem with that? why force us (i know nobody is forcing us but you get the point) to buy the most ugly and lazy skins you will ever see on any game?
good think the last post of the game director is how feedback and making a great agme is their main goal and the most important thing for them, im pretty sure blizzard will listen to us and lay off this before season 9 starts or at least in the middle season patch, right, RIGHT?
Yet you still willingly choose to interact with the greed driven product that scummy Blizzard made.
And before you make up some strawman about voicing your concern as a consumer to mask your attraction to this title you verbalize so much hate for, just know that the best way to show your dissatisfaction is to simply vote with your wallet and lack of participation.

Bro blizz has done way worse stuff than this. Let’s not exaggerate. Blizz is absolutely an evil company, but not for this reason lol

im aware, i mentioned some of the worst things blizzard has done, but like i mentioned before the other things have a reason why it happened, good or bad they have a reason, is scummy? of course, but if you were an executive maybe you would do the same
however, locking weapons is just a middle finger to players, is not like golden weapons cost real money, they are “free” why limit players? why do that? i really want to know the logic for doing this, “golden weapons are not appealing” says the game direcor, which is a big lie by the way, ok nobody cares for the golden weapons, lets pretend is true, so? keeping the weapons avalible hurts the game or the developers in some way, is too much work to keep the weapons purchable? what they will say about green weapons when nobody buys them because are even less appealing?
you may say is not a big deal, but is really a big deal, they start locking something not important like skins, but people will accept it, and then they will lock characters, if you dont get the character on the battle pass of the season you will not get it anymore, those challanges to unlock characters will dissapear. and i dont trust them at all when they said they “are working so hard” to stop paywalling heroes
This is not evil. It’s just scummy.
It’s very scummy, but at the end of the day, it’s no less bad than faking a pve mode because they wanted to change the monetization of the game.

i never said locking golden weapons are the worst thing they have done, once more, i mentioned the other worst things blizzard has done, but this is just so petty and have literally no reason to exist that im very baffled about it
