There is just no excuse for this to STILL Be a problem. 50/50 games DO NOT MEAN 2-0 KOTH cursbstompings where someone wins 100-0 BOTH rounds. PLesae blizzard just admit your matchmaking is garbae and you are inept from putting together a matchmaking system that puts together a somewhat fair match between 12 players.
AGAIN you have had TWENTY TWO FREAKING SEASONS to address this problem. We have 2/2/2 THERE IS NO EXCUSE of well maybe someone was filling a role they couldnt fill. FIX YTOUR MATCHMAKER PLEASE ITS BEEN FOUR FREAKING YEARS.
I want to tell you something for your own sake.
A - you are right, the mmr system has a lot of flaws, it is based upon a mathematical model that was designed for 1v1 duels, and does a lot of mathematical mistakes when it comes to team duels.
having said that, we have to accept reality as it is and succeed regardless of the circumstances, the mmr won’t change probably in the near future because there is simply no replacement system for it. try to overcome it flaws and get better yourself, and enjoy the game in the process
How tf would u do that man there’s no quick fix you would have to rebalance skill to reward philosophy, reset mmr, make comp more exclusive, and ban onetricks and inters
As much as I rip on the devs, this is a problem with the community, not the them. The reason why so many games are so lopsided is because so many peie get way too tilted way too easily. They die in some perceived unfair way, lose first point, get frustrated, and start to perform worse, which results in more deaths and more frustration, and so on. The number of times some Plat has acted like the match is over just because the other team got halfway on an escort map, is unreal. There’s a reason why games tend to be closer, and last longer the higher up you go on the ladder, because those players tend to have a healthier mentality in-game.
Characters got too complicated and overwhelming, went went from a cowboy with a gun, big man with shield, and Medic TF2, to “Heal piss sap laser funny skill orb”, “Geometry ball man with floating shield defense matrix but better and big rock”, “flying triple projectile beam that only really works on half health stickies that do half health every character in the game”
Most of the newer characters just have so much more than the originals and get so much more value, and most of it you can get for free.
The problem I see is they try to match teams by SR. Now take the lower spectrum where you are matched within 1500 SR. Your tank could be 1000 SR your support could be 500sr and dps somewhere in the middle. Your opponent could have 1500 sr dps 500 sr tank and support in the middle. Teams have balanced SR, but the match is going to be very one sided.
