Blizzard forcing a few players to smurf in your games

I’ve posted this on the bug report already, along with other 70 other people complaining about this bug and nobody has addressed the issue that has been happening since season 2.

Apparently Blizzard is gatekeeping players from ranking up and not even that, but deranking good players. So if there is a lot of people “smurfing” in your games, it’s because blizzard is FORCING these players to smurf.

For instance: a masters player gets deranked to Plat 1, wins 60 games and the rank doesnt change at all or they keep deranking up to 5 ranks. Does the master player wanna play in plat? no. Does the plat people wanna play against a masters skilled DPS? no. But for some reason, Blizzard wants this to happen.

So please take a consideration when reporting people from “smurfing” because it might not be their fault.

I’ve said for years. The more they try to control the experience through their rigged engagement MMR crap… the worse the game gets.

They are losing players left and right. They should just turn off the MMR and use Rank for matchmaking. They’re trying so hard to counter anything the players do, that it’s pointless to even play any more because you’re just there for the fake ride to 50%.

The fact that they eliminated the “average” rank in the lobbies before the match starts says a lot on how flawed their system is. Our MMR is completely hidden as for before, if you were being “carried” in your games you’d only receive the minimum SR, compared to someone who is above the elo would be getting 30+ SR.

Not sure why they got rid of showing people’s ranks in competitive either and I don’t buy the “eliminates toxicity” excuse.

I’d go even farther and just replace this rank subdivision system with the old SR system. Not only does having a numerical value so much more transparent, it completely bypasses the literal dozen of bugs with the 5 win 15 loss rerank mechanic. Almost five months into the game and almost none of them have been addressed let alone fixed. If anything, more bugs seem to spawn every season. It’s honestly laughable if it weren’t so depressing.

They eliminated the average rank in lobbies because they eliminated the display of individual player ranks within that lobby. It also doesn’t help that the max subdivision difference is now 12, which is over two whole divisions. Individual performance based mmr adjustment was eliminated recently too. As for eliminating toxicity, it was a valiant attempt that, as is becoming increasingly evident, failed spectacularly.
