Gold1 not a great player but alright but tired of getting bronze and silver players who have no idea how to even use a keyboard in my games, seriously comp is so trash idk whats the point of it; if you rank it doesn’t matter b.c you are still getting people lower than you on your team contently its so bad.I honestly think blizz has no clue anymore, this game isn’t fun and it doesn’t even make sense in any way…and the devs are not fixing it at all. seriously what is the point of comp?noone knows

I just want a 1 division cap, partied ornot, your lowest party member can only be one division below your highest. That and to see actual progress game by game. Give me 5 Mon queues by all means.

yes. or… you know… if you can’t group with that person, that person shouldn’t be in your game.
There WAS, i don’t know if it still exists… so maybe I’m speaking out of turn, but it WAS a 500 SR difference that wouldn’t let you to group… but the games themselves could have a 1000 SR difference if you weren’t grouped. that was a silly set up and I hated it.
It’s 2 divisions now, 1 if you’re masters, so technically speaking as a master like I am, I can have a diamond on my team triod with 2 gold’s. It’s stupid.
Yea idk I guys seem schizo matchmaking is fine for me the only issue is the rank inflation that’s been a thing since release where gm is just diamond 2.0 now but that could easily be fixed by adding 1-2 new ranks that are higher than gm or just making it harder to rank up instead of going up 3 tiers for going 5-3

This will be my last season if this continues. I just cant anymore. Im tired of team mates who have no idea what they doing? Objective? Payload? it be the last thing on their mind. Tanks just standing in one spot getting shot at, thinking a mercy pocket will keep them alive or charging and being obliviated by the other team. DPS not knowing how to touch the objective or aim? These matches are beyond frustrating. Please put forth more time and energy into fixing the match maker! The game is not fun! I keep holding on to what was but Im losing faith. Ive been playing for years but keep getting team mates who play like they just installed the game. Im so tired of it, and feel dumb for continuing to play.

Then next season will be your last. Then the season after that, and on and on. If you don’t enjoy how the matchmaking works as a solo player, just stop playing. It really is simple as that. This is 2023. There are tons of games to play. Granted OW is one of only two active games in its unique FPS subgenre, but still.
Try to find a new game to play that you will enjoy. Because the matchmaking is working as intended, and it has almost been a year like this. Nothing substantial is going to change with the matchmaking. You have to find 4 others to play with under master rank, or just accept how the matchmaking was designed to work.
It’s beyond atrocious. You get stuck with people who one trick characters who they aren’t even good with. Tanks playing as ball just rolling around all game not even engaging in fights and not contributing anything. Genji’s that just feed straight into the enemy team. Support that are doing very little of anything I.e. 1k damage/1k heals. Or my all time favorite - rage quitters after they die a few times instantly because they don’t understand the concept of cover.
At this point it’s becoming very unplayable for me. The point of ranked matches is to play with people around your skill level and make the game COMPETITIVE. If I wanted this much of a skill discrepancy I’d just play QP and be way less annoyed. If it stays like this for another week I’m 10000% moving onto another game that doesn’t waste my free time like this one.
They really need to fix matchmaking, it’s so RNG.
This mercy player I was with had 0 elims, 12 deaths with only 5k healing in my first game on support in colosseo. Whereas I had 10 elims, 7 deaths, and 10k healing. I could’ve done more for sure, but she was definitely one of the reason we lost. CJ3EH2
Next game, I’m against the same under-performing mercy player in Route 66. But this time, she’s in a much better team. So her stats end up looking quite decent. She gets 0 elim, 8 deaths, and 9k healing.
Somehow I end up getting good stats even though we were in a losing team. I had 21 elim, 8 deaths and 13k healing. But Overwatch 2 doesn’t care about stats anymore when you lose games, so it doesn’t matter.
In the meanwhile, we had to deal with a doomfist player who was inting all game and dying 18 times. He clearly was throwing and even admitted that he was. So the game was unwinnable from the beginning. 6XCF61
After playing 3 games on support, I somehow got my rank again. Last season, I was gold 2. This season, I got gold 3. Not too bad, but it’s extremely unfun to play games where your teammates are throwing.
You’d expect this kind of unbalanced games to only happen in bronze or silver. I never expected matchmaker to be this bad in gold and it never was back in Overwatch 1. I think I’m done with support until the matchmaker gets fixed. I’m only going to stick to DPS or tank from now on in comp.

The matchmaking is trash, with the MMR system literally ruining the game.
They HAVE to tone down this ridiculous system that punishes aged accounts, winners, whatever.
It’s gone WAY to far, it’s heavy handed and honestly makes the game a nightmare to play.
However, I don’t think there is any way to ever make good matches with this 5v5.
The game is screwed. 5v5 matches will NEVER be even.

Yes it has, Being a bronze player and getting into plat and masters games is great fun. No, no it is not fun, it’s a freaking nightmare. I’m sure I drag 4 other players down since they are better than myself and I feel bad for them.

I would at least like to see some consistency with the matchmaking. I shouldn’t have to change my playstyle every game because sometimes its with silvers and sometimes its with masters.

I just finished a session where I played against the same streaming Hanzo spammer every single game across all my different roles, Silver, Gold, and Plat, while having at least one Bronze player in the game as well. Apparently there is no distinction between anything below Diamond rank anymore. Which would be fine if they weren’t pretending like there was some kind of meaningful difference and stopping us from queuing together to play (yet still matching us together in the same games).
The game is agonizing in Europe.
Some of the modes are literally not playable because there are not enough players to create a single lobby. Seeing the same players game after game is becoming the rule.
played ow for years and my last game was about 4 weeks ago. imho the matchmaker is superbad and broken or its the result of the player base esp. in europe getting so low that the matchmaker doesnt have enough players to form even teams. pve beeing canceled and choped up behind a season battle pass made it worse for sure. you see it in streams from kragiee and dafran to. they try to climb as weaver in diamond and its just not working because you are an npc trying to heal random casual players. your skill doesnt impact the games outcome anymore, because the matches are so unbalanced that your individual performance doenst make a diffrence anymore. only as zen when your t500 aim lets you delete the complete enemy team lets you climb fast.
